Who should be the next ARU CEO?

Yeah I don't see the big deal. It's a press conference announcing his appointment.

Who should be the next ARU CEO?

I must be missing something - what's wrong with that quote?

Best of luck to him. I hope he does a fantastic job.

Who should be the next ARU CEO?

No need for us to lose our head over this; we don't even know if it's real yet.

Quade telling it how it is

Formally announced that he has re-signed: http://www.rugby.com.au/wallabies/ArticleDetails1/tabid/2257/ArticleID/8138/Default.aspx?IsPreview=true

Quade telling it how it is

I still don't understand what changed from the ARU perspective. They offered him X, withdrew that then offered him Y (which is much less than X) and have now offered him X again. What prompted that? Seems to be a bit of a loss of face for the ARU unless they can point to something changing.

He looks like he is wearing shoulder pads!

Quade telling it how it is

Apparently he is announcing tomorrow that he has re-signed and it's on the same money that he was offered by the ARU last year. http://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/rugby-union/union-news/no-quade-escape-cooper-to-stay-in-australian-rugby-20121206-2axx6.html That's a pretty extraordinary...

    Reds 2013

Jeez that's a surprise. Good on him. Hope he makes a fist of it this year. Have to confess I'd kind of forgotten about him.

    Reds 2013

It's also an almighty 'f*ck you ARU your system is shit so we'll just do our own thing thanks'!

    Reds 2013

I'll be interested to see who's in that - wonder if any turned down the paid ARU academy to be in the unpaid Reds academy

    Reds 2013

    1. Simmons to partner Horwill I reckon, with AWH to come on for the last 15. Happy to see them both fight for it though. 2. I reckon it will be Schatz-Gill-Robinson to start with but I reckon that back row is a bit light on. Not sure how much Radike really has left in the tank. This would...

    Brumbies 2013

And, on another note, remember at the start of the year how it was looking like the Brums wouldn't even have a sponsor? What a turnaround year for them.

    Brumbies 2013

Yeah I'm guessing that changing the captain now may have undesired effects on the culture. Provided that the current players respect Mowen (and they seem to) and he does a good job as captain (and he seems to), changing that just because you've bought a better player starts to make the place...

Ted think losses are Match Fixing

The article here (http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/rugby/all-blacks/7370102/How-Henry-became-sick-of-referee-Barnes) says that "He momentarily let the thought of match-fixing enter his mind before dismissing it." I really don't see what's wrong with that when the book is a historical account of...
