    The Wallabies Thread

Its also generally the case that the "favourites" are consistent from coach to coach. Probably for a reason. Many polarising players with that characteristic (Palu, Folau, Beale, Hooper) have been the "favourites" of several coaches, whether it be Deans, McKenzie or Cheika. Higgers is in the...

    2017 Under-20 Competitions including Oceania & World U20s

Another rolling maul try. Is Larkham coaching? Good to see Australian attacking flair is still alive. Can anyone comment on the conditions at the ground?

This is comedic. Literally every pass is inaccurate or dropped or both. The winger can't even seem to field kicks in back play.

What the fuck is this nonsense?

Some of the handling is atrocious. This 12 deadset can't pass. It doesn't help the rest of the backs can't catch.

Ahh the new great pillar of Australian Rugby: the driving maul. They look very disconnected and sloppy in attack.

Waratahs v Blues - Round 11, Saturday 6 May, Allianz Stadium

Rope off a section on the hill and give them all two tinnies on entry. Did I mention there's a hill at North Sydney? Straya.

Waratahs v Blues - Round 11, Saturday 6 May, Allianz Stadium

Interestingly enough, the major of my close friendship circle (~10ish people) are huge AFL fans and we attend a Swans home game every 2-3 weeks together. Getting them to the SFS for a Tahs game would be a huge task, but I just floated the idea of the Tahs at North Sydney (if its moved) and...

Waratahs v Blues - Round 11, Saturday 6 May, Allianz Stadium

Cracking tidbit from that article: "To move the game to North Sydney Oval would require the Trust to compensate the Waratahs significantly, not least as the venue holds only 15,000 spectators." Should we be so lucky. I think the Tahs should actually consider North Sydney // Brookvale //...

Waratahs v Blues - Round 11, Saturday 6 May, Allianz Stadium

Likewise - I only went there for the first time for the SS Grand Final last year and it was fantastic. Dinner and a couple drinks at the Oaks, walk over to the ground, stand on the hill with some tinnies, get the train home or out afterwards. How good.

    Jones bombs Israel

Fair play - I was just comparing their attacking stats as they were literally the first two players who came to mind who are have been lauded for their attacking prowess this season and before. DHP / Hunt are better comparisons. Either way, theres not a lot in it.

Waratahs v Blues - Round 11, Saturday 6 May, Allianz Stadium

Holy moly please yes. I'd much rather watch it at North Sydney than the fucking SFS. Or Brookvale. Or anywhere.

    Jones bombs Israel

That I can understand, but I've never really looked at him as a leader. His game has always been very individualistic and by nature I see him more as a strike weapon who should focus on being a strike weapon, much in the Savea / North etc. role. But I can see why others would want him to be...

    Jones bombs Israel

Has he really been performing that badly in 2017? Generally, the best we can ask of a player is to perform excellently relative to their team. It would be unfair to compare his attacking stats to those of a Hurricanes / Crusaders outside back (although I will do so), as his attacking...

    Rebels 2017

They also signed JGB out of the ITM cup before the Brumbies signed Hawera. When I saw that I assumed that Hawera was the off-cut, and JGB must've been the best they could find. It seems that that hypothesis was proved incorrect. The Rebels actually have some really talented players, its the...

Auckland Blues vs Brumbies RD 10 2017

Reasons I want the Waratahs to win on the weekend: + 4 (or 5 competitions points) to put us just behind (or equal with) the Brumbies as conference leaders. + To watch Dismal see the Blues lose to a team that lost to the fucking Southern Kings two rounds ago and subsequently implode in a...

The kid probably has an English accent! I'm so confused as to why we're discussing this or what was actually expected from the Lynaghs in this scenario.
