If Izzy plays, I think it'll be on the wing. Mogg or JOC (James O'Connor) would be my preference at 15, although Izzy would be fine if there's an injury.

    Reds v Brumbies - RD10 2013

There are some Reds fans out there who put the passionate but reasonable folks who post on the forums to shame.

A bee's pubic hairs? It's okay, I'll see myself out.

    Reds v Brumbies - RD10 2013

I haven't been watching it that closely, but I reckon Quade is defending far better than he has in the past. He doesn't do those embarrassing flail-at-the-man tackles. He also seems to consistently get a good hit on. But regardless of whether he's back at 15 for counter-attack purposes or not...

I don't think he will either. But I'm preparing myself (and others) emotionally just in case. Bitten by the Dingo too many times before.

It's kind of amazing, really, the degree of consensus on G&GR. I don't recall so many people having such similar Wallaby teams in the past. When Deans selects McCabe for the first test, this place is going to explode.

I'd favour Lilo by a bee's dick or two, but otherwise totally agree with you.

Really? I was surprised at how much they didn't dominate in the scrum. I think the penalties were about even and the Brumbies never had the Reds on the ropes. I thought the best Aussie scrum performance was easily from the Waratahs, who had the Chiefs in serious trouble and used the scrum as a...

Taps is underrated in this regard, I think. He doesn't need to play this role for the Reds, but he creates space and is a good and willing passer. He probably can't step into 10 like Lilo can, but he's certainly not one-dimensional like McCabe.

    Waratahs 2013

Whoever those McKibben and McKibbon blokes are, they certainly get a lot more comment than that McKibbin.

Is it time to change the name of the Waratahs?

It's not the name that's the problem, it's the crime against rugby that was the 2012 season. Wins + tries = crowds.

Scotty, maybe, but we don't see such chaos in 95% of games. If Jackson had asserted control much earlier, we might not have seen the same behaviour. If I was on the Brumbies, I wouldn't have respected him by the final 10 minutes either.

Head and shoulders might have been a bit of an exaggeration. I thought Lilo did a good job stepping in for To'omua as well. The way the Brumbies play, he sees a lot more of the ball as second playmaker. To be clear, I'd be happy with either at 12 as both run hard, can kick and have good passing...

    Reds v Brumbies - RD10 2013

Cracking game. Watched it this morning and it had more drama, tension and betrayal than Henry IV (which is what I spent last night watching). I almost spat my coffee out when Horwill went for the lineout at the 65 minute mark. I really thought they should have slotted over 3 points from right...

Remember when Quade signed with Parramatta? What a black day that was for rugby. NRL clubs talk all sorts of shit and the Sydney press salivates at every morsel. I'm sure that the Doggies have approached Folau's team and I'm sure others have too. Why don't we all just settle down...

I thought Lilo was head and shoulders above Taps last night. The latter was fairly anonymous, perhaps because he was getting cut out by some beautiful wide balls from Genia and Cooper. But that's only one game and I think he's generally been very good all season. For me, it's Lilo a nose in...

This is an excellent point. What about players who have announced that they will retire? Should we not have selected Sharpie last year? It seems to me that when it's a big series (Lions, TRC, etc.) you need to select the team that will give you the best chance of winning the series. EOYT or...

    A bench for Scotty's team: 16. TPN 17. Palmer/Slipper 18. Alexander 19. MMM 20. Fotu 21. White 22. Lilo 23. Digby

Glad it was a Reds fan who said it. Digby needs to show a bit more, IMO. We know he's class, but there are some game breaking outside backs in Oz right now. The team you suggested is bloody dangerous. I would be happy with Digby instead of Folau or Tomane since either would be deadly off the bench.
