    Jerry Collins to the Rebels

Everyone saying Collins is past his use by date, he is only 31. That does not make him past it he could have a couple of good seasons left in him. I like the idea of him on the bench covering Higgers and Delve and Jones covering lock.

    Rebels 2013

He is only 31. So maybe not as far past his use by than expected. I was also quite surprised by his age I thought he would have been much older.

JOC (James O'Connor)'s best position for the Wallabies.

He would probably be the fastest player in Australia excluding Turner.

JOC (James O'Connor)'s best position for the Wallabies.

Stick him on a wing and say go for your life son. Do not try and bring him down a peg or two as some are suggesting, as his self-belief and maybe even arrogance is probably his greatest weapon. He will try things that less self-assured individuals would not even consider.

    Rugby Championship 2012: Our forwards!

I agree with the calls for Alexander to be dropped. We cannot carry a prop because he is good in the loose. A front rows job is in the tight, if you can't scrummage play on the wing.

    Delve re-signs for season 2013

This is fantastic news. Now go and get a monster prop who can dominate the scrum and I may well need a little lie down.

    Rebels 2013

If Delve stays I for one will be overjoyed. A back row three out of Higgers, Saffy, Jones and Delve is looking not too shabby. We just need a bit more in the front row and the pack will be looking pretty good. If Ged goes we will definately need a starting hooker. Holmes is Ok as a back up but I...

    Rugby Championship 2012: Our Backline

I don't agree with that at all. He is probably the quickest player in the country when fully fit and firing. The problem is playing for the Waratahs invokes a risk adverse style rather than a free flowing structure where he can show his true value.

    Rugby Championship 2012: Our Backline

Beale is the best full back in the world. Let him play there but he must play there both ways not just on attack and then move to the wing so we can hide Quade in defense. If we play QC (Quade Cooper) at 10 he must defend at 10 otherwise KB (Kurtley Beale) is wasted as probably his greatest strength is as a counter attack...

    Wallabies vs Scotland - 5 June 2012

I think one of the biggest issues was at made at the selection table. The conditions were known in advance, the weather reports had predicted wet and wild since late last week. Given Deans knew how bad the weather was he should have selected Mark Gerrard. In a game of field position, as the...

Rebels vs Brumbies Super Rugby Rnd 15 2012

Let's hope Coleman and Mogg decide they want a kick a thon. I quite like the idea of Gerrard and Huxley in a kick for kick battle.

    Wallabies 40 man squad

I agree with you. I think Jones is more of a 6 than a true lock. Neville is not yet ready but it is great experience to be in the training squad for these sorts of games and young guys like can learn a lot. It certainly can't do him any harm being in the squad and he will gain more from it than...

Sorry, but I ythought Mike Harris was a Kiwi.

    Rebels 2013

While I am disappointed that it looks like we cannot keep a hold of Delve and I think he will be a massive loss. My disappointment will be somewhat assuaged if we can sign up Higgers as a replacement. His workrate this year for the reds has improved out of sight from previous seasons. His hard...

    Olympic sevens selection

Richard Kingi was a 7s player I believe and he is quick and evasive exactly the skills needed for a 7s player.

Rebels vs Crusaders Rnd 12 Super Rugby 2012

I don't necessarily think it is attitude. I think it is that Cips is a fairly classic English Fly-half in that he plays ten man rugby. The rebels forwards work hard but are not a great attacking unit though their defence has improved out of sight. This style of either passing one out to a...

Rebels vs Bulls Rnd 11 Super Rugby 2012

It was a great game for the spectator. The only thing that really got to me though was how lazy Vuna was without the ball. There was a moment in the first half when the ball was put over the top by the bulls. Kingi rushed back to collect it but Vuna just slowly jogged back allowing Ndungane and...
