^^^^ Nice piece Barb. Simmons does what is needed for a lock. He may not bend the line or break people in 2 in defence, but having spoken to props who have played with him he is the first lock they want behind them at scrum time and he's an excellent jumper in attack and defence. He doesn't give...

Wright played 15 at schoolboys and was very good. He excelled with open space

    Wallabies 2020

His scrummaging has always been his handicap.

    Wallabies 2020

Of course they do, but this Golden generation will be peaking at the next World cup. Last years under 20s were pretty freakish and most of them are moving up to the next level seamlessly

Super Rugby Round 5: Waratahs vs Lions - Friday 28 February 2020 Super Rugby @ BankWest Stadium 7:15pm

Good result. Interested to see how the injuries shape next week's team. Harrison was great, Bell impressive. Much more of a team performance

    Waratahs 2020

Kind of. He coached the Kings 1st XV to an undefeated title in 1974 and left in 1975. He did coach Manly to their first SS win since the 1950s in '83 too

Yeah, Jones was more of a Winston Churchill like motivator. He had the rhetoric and surrounded himself with good coaching staff.

Randwick player. Played under aus under 20s a couple of years ago

I was hoping for some major changes:( Newsome a mystery to me

Fantasy Rugby Draft - Super Rugby 2020

Every time I get rid of a non performer they grow a leg and get 60+ points the next week:)

I think it's usually 31 in the main squad and they often take a couple of developing players in recent years. I think JOC (James O'Connor) is the best FH at present. Don't mind To'omua at 12. Beale might want to lift his game. Wilson has better form than Dempsey at this point, otherwise pretty close I think

    Waratahs 2020

The whole point is that we get your point because you've said it 1000 times. You keep saying we should have signed big units, which would have been handy but I haven't seen you produce any real options of who these big units are

    Waratahs 2020

BH is saying that Simmons had no options and Slipper did isn't he? A bit of a different situation. You don't go somewhere you don't want to go unless you've exhausted your options

    Waratahs 2020

All 3 franchises were interested so he wasn't short of options
  15. Silverado

    Waratahs 2020

My mail was that he never wanted to play for NSW because he dislikes them from years of being a Red and shopped himself to the other franchises. He would have been a good pick up, but was never likely to happen, and not because of some Gibson/Hoare midget conspiracy

    Wallabies 2020

That's why it was a waste. That 20s team that he was captain for had the likes of HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes), Uelese Hockings, Blythe Wright, ASY (Angus Scott-Young) ,Valetini, Swinton, Stewart who have gone on to make Super Rugby or higher careers. Last i heard of Reece he was playing second division in France. Side note that Izzy Perese was...

    Wallabies 2020

Reece Hewat. Aus Schools Captain and Aus under 20s Captain capped by reds as a 20 year old then punted. What a waste of talent

    Waratahs 2020

Correct, not exactly a giant but very mobile. And was he interested in signing with the Tahs?

I like it. Time for some change, particularly in the pigs. Haven't seen Tafa at lock before but some of these young guys can't do worse than the incumbents
