Super Rugby AU Round 2 - Reds vs Rebels

Agree. Particularly when the refs will be more reluctant to award penalties in super time. I'm a bit old school, but a draw is still a result by me.

    Wallabies 2020

After tonight's game, To'omua as our 10 should be put to bed

    Wallabies 2020

And that he played for Tahs. His social media skills didn't help. He's now re-signed big bucks with UK Super League contract so I guess his skills are valued by them and he's moved on. Perhaps we should too

    Wallabies 2020

Swinton can, he played lock for Sydney Uni in the early days and did well. I don't get the hype about Valetini. Showed promise early on before his injuries but has done little since, (kind of like the hype train that Uelessi was). IMHO Wright is vastly superior to both Valetini and Swinton

    Wallabies 2020

Swinton had one good game and he's a no brainer? He was dropped from the Tahs starting 15 before the virus because he was poo and a penalty magnet. I'd pick Wright over him at 6. Happy to be proven wrong, but one decent game doth not a Wallaby make

2020 Super Rugby Round 1 (REDUX): Reds v Waratahs

My point is it's easier to hone your craft against the other teams reserves rather than throw him in against Tupou. Tiann went well of the bench with limited time and against tiring/second choice opposition. Hell be better for it, but Bell's confidence must be shot after that. If Robertson was...

2020 Super Rugby Round 1 (REDUX): Reds v Waratahs

Yes. But it also loses matches. Bring him on off the bench then work him up to a starter in a year or so. The scrum was much better when he came off. He's only 19. No need to rush him

    Reds 2021

He's playing with the Rebels this weekend

    Waratahs 2021

Yep, would be good, but don't know if Australian Super Rugby would be an option if he's holding out for cash

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Of course they don't design their policies on posts here. It's pure speculation without the benefit of back stories that's just a bit of fun. I'd be interested in a poll of GAGR posters who are under 35.

    Aussie Player Exodus

You're missing the point on Hooper. He won't get a million here by the looks of it

    Reds 2021

I'd say he wanted to be closer to his family before he left and that the compassionate clause was because he wasn't in the main squad and even on as 60% pay cut would save them some dollars

    Waratahs 2020

I see your point about game time, but that can only happen if you have a substantial lead or if the team is out of finals contention and youre looking at next season. The Tahs rarely had the luxury of either scenario, so they had to keep their best 15 on the field. I feel for him and he is a nice...
