    Where to for Super Rugby?

12 m gbp according to the bbc. SAANZAR is about $200 million per year. There is going to have to be a massive increase the the Pro12 revenue to make this work. In addition, apparently the Pro12 are going to require beefing up of the talent in the two teams. And it is going to go live...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

    #*$^. Crowd of 2226???

    Rebels 2018

Hmmm ... I'd say any of the below would be at least in the 23 for the Force - Mafi - Koirabete - Hodge - Naivalu - Hanson - Timani

    Rebels 2018

I'd like to see Stirz under a different coach. He, along with most of the team, has seriously gone backwards over the past 2 years and when he started, he looked like he had so much potential.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Perhaps be able to articulate what they want rugby to look like in Australia in 20 years, have a clear strategy to execute toward this goal and start action. The current group can't even work out what will be happening in 8 months.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

#&^$ing worrying at half time though. At a game with a half dozen Americans and we are only 14-10 up

    Where to for Super Rugby?

My companies head office is in Chicago and I managed to get them to pay for myself and some of my US peers to see the Australia v US game a couple of years ago. I assume that the ARU got a slice of that game so I'll one up your lame state boundaries to international. ;)

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Not how it works. They sold him the licence. They can offer him $7.75 million but he is under no obligation to sell.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

And Cox has probably invested significant time and money into the team. You can't expect to sell someone something, get them to invest money and time into it and get it back (or close it down) for the original amount Hopefully it is right. And hopefully the alliance agreement holds up and...

    Force 2018

#%%} that. 10 year contracts for everyone!

    Rebels 2018

What a non news article. 1 guy leaves to be closer to his kid. 1 leaves because the ARU won't pay him enough and 2 leave because they haven't been really chosen to be part of the starting line up - unless there are injuries Oh and the coach is leaving because we only won 1 game all year

    Aussie Player Exodus

Hmm ... leadership skills, young, can't get a team :(

    Aussie Player Exodus

Played a couple of games for the Rebels last year. Remember the name, don't remember how he played.

    "Transparency" at the ARU

We get a fair bit of high quality rugby in Melbourne. At least 2 NZ teams a year visit us. But yeah, SA hasn't exactly been treated particularly well by the ARU. It would be nice to have a domestic competition in the future which actually has a team based out of Adelaide.

    "Transparency" at the ARU

Ok, so Australian rugby is a complete screw up with people with different aims trying to power play their own agendas including Spiro, some of the Shute Shield (who seem to want to go back to having rugby only in Sydney), the Rebels owners who either want to bankrupt the ARU or want something...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

$20 million is a fair bit if the total revenue of the ARU is only $87 million (including the $20 million). Surely we weren't losing $20 million a year Haven't really competed with the AB's for 10 years now but yeah, I 100% agree. We need a restart. Either now or in 2020 when SA leaves...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

2 points - the ARU are now getting over $20 million more per year from the broadcast rights. I struggle to see where this money is going. We ran fine with five teams before we got this extra $20 million - there are definitely cuts that can be made to save money. Whether this is by reducing...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

I have a slight agenda. I think that 5 teams is better than 4 teams for the long term of Australian rugby. You could argue that with 4 teams that you would always have your best 60 players on the field and that next 15 players are the players who would never play for Australia, but that is...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

2016 - the Force signed up two senior players - Ben Tapuai from the Reds and Semisi Masirewa. I can't imagine putting Hodge above either of them. They also signed 2 local boys to the EPS. So no, I don't think the Force would have signed Hodge in 2016. And this is ignoring the fact that...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Just a quick shout out to the 2 try scorers for the Wallabies from the Rebels who probably wouldn't have been playing for Australia if we only had 4 teams.
