    Wallabies 2023

Rennie said he will only pick foreign based players if they ARE based in Japan - So Kerevi, Koroibete & Quade (not sure if Arnold is there yet)

Will Rory be in Japan by then yet? When does he finish in Toulouse?

    Aussie Player Exodus

Eye to the future maybe, currently a few bigger names in recent years left out. Him, Nakajima (the LHP), Matsushima the outside back. Not using big stohlberg either.

Australia A - Back on the Cards

If Petaia gets more game time at fullback then yes absolutely agree, Hodge becomes redundant and allows another wing. You're right and he is outplaying Kellaway atm, but Kellaway was well ahead in previous test season. Sometimes Super Rugby form isn't as great as indicator to Test form due to the...

Australia A - Back on the Cards

You're spot on. I think To'omua would be more useful then Donaldson off the bench say, however, what is the purpose of the team? If it is deemed that it is in the best interest of rugby in Australia to provide more meaningful high performance competition for developing players, then don't bother...

Australia A - Back on the Cards

I think the Wallabies will be encamped with their standard 33 allotment as (for example) they will always want the player who is backup to the bench position on hand at all times. Might then see a reduced squad for the Australia A (but I'll dream 33). My Wallaby squad (Japan based players...

Australia A - Back on the Cards

No its not an official cap (as in test cap) but it does officially capture you for eligibility purposes.

    Reds 2023

Cordingly may need to take some responsibility for the recruitment, but playing off the bench on the wing? That's all Brad. If it wasn't for Paisami being injured I would have gone 9. Mcdermott 10. Stewart 11. Vunivalu 12. Paisami 13. Flook 14. Campbell 15. Petaia 21. Jeans 22. Creighton 23...

    Aussie Player Exodus

I think they are alreayd using their alloted 'lock topups' on Rodda, Philip and Swain. ATM the 3 overseas is needed for Kerevi, Koroibete & Quade. This may be extended for the WC tournament. Hopefully Kerevi signs a 'futures' contract here as potentially discussed so that Arnold can be...

    Aussie Player Exodus

I said could not should! I'd rather coleman here but he gets bigggggg bucks for london irish and arnold and skelton both better and we can't afford them either. RA can't afford to go halvsies with every Super Rugby team for star locks.

No Fotuaika or Nonggoor wow. Anae on the bench!

    Wallabies 2023

Absolutely. For me, in terms of the 5th prop. Still Sio IMO as Slipper is a utility and Sio in form. Next 4 would be probably, Orr & Gibbon with Faamausili and HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes). I don't, have ever, or will have time for Robertson.

    Wallabies 2023

I'd agree he has pushed himself back in the '5th' spot which is ideal for someone who can play both sides. However, Slipper can also play both sides and could be argued he could play THP better then HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes) can, and Sio has been doing well. Maths time. In order LHP: Bell, Slipper, Sio THP: Tupou...

Surely he will roll up with Tonga ASAP. Him, Coleman and Folau can all play in late 2022.

    Rebels 2022

Many of these are/were brisbane based, are very young and not on the big bucks (most just development or train on). Probably nicer to not just be in a stronger comp but back home.

    Aussie Player Exodus

Grandfather is Scottish - once he's had his stand down period he will be eligible. He was in the aus 2019 wc squad (not sure if he played?) So it's 3 years from last game....so latest hes available issssssssssssss later this year I think? Could be earlier if he didn't get picked during the WC...

Reports in early April he's off to Clermont

    Force 2023

Force are a good shout. They desperately need good centres - and should have the money available. Kuenzle & Makara are rookies and Poolman is a development kid. Lost Taefu, Kuridrani then Godwin and most likely Kahui next season - this is a grim decline. However Brumbies are losing Simone so...

    Reds 2023

Let's not forget that Japanese teams are capped on how many foreign test players they are allowed and the UK allowance is being reduced, along with their cap. It's the middle tier heading overseas we can't afford to lose for Super Rugby success, so therefore we must be flexible with the...
