I think Webster seemed to put his mark on the jersey by the end of the season however Kelly is no slouch. I have a sneaky feeling he was a fairly tall 7 so maybe he might move into the second row? Terrace seemed to lack depth there. Tweedy was one of several sevens a part of the emerging reds...

Which one? I seem to recall Kelly who played the first 3 or so and then Webster who finished the season

I think he came for other reasons. I.E not on a scholarship. (Don't quote me on that)

Terrace Prop situation will be interesting. Nasser, Macklin and Keefer all played last year but Keefer could possibly be out for the season. Also some decent props coming up from 15's (Grace and new boy). Most interesting thing to see will be the U16 boys coming through such as Harrison and...

Someone should also Tell Tom that even though it worked in his coaching years at ACGS, bringing RL boys and putting them in a union school doesn't change their RL brains to rugby brains. RE Josh Flatley, I think he played most of his footy in the 16's at 12. Max Dowde (correct my spelling)...

I would be surprised if the bottom two wasn't made up of Ipswich and Grammar. I don't know if nudgee have the side for top two ambitions, same goes for TGS, though they will knock over there fair share of victories. To me atm it goes something along these lines TSS/ACGS 1-2 BBC/NC 3-4...

    Nudgee to come 4th.

Not that relevant. Size, as you touched on, is the big one

Perese play 13 in year 11 and 12 and moved to the wing first year out. For Aus schoolboys I thought he played wing. He seems good in contact and he's pretty quick however I'm unsure about his game awareness and his kicking ability. A good winger and possible 13 in years to come, but IMO...

So do BBC have 4 year 12evers coming back this year Gungenia? Because Henry was the only year 11 and you say 5 are returning from the backline.

    QLD GPS Rugby 2016

Surely that can't be right regarding BBC? I know of only 1 boy who was in year 11 in the backline, so therefor you must be saying that 5 others must be repeating? They will be a top 3 contender for sure, especially with the added size of the 10000ft bloke they brought in from Victoria.

From my reports this State High year has a very high quality first 15, probably as good as they will be this year, except lack depth. Watch out in the first few rounds, but towards the end, they will run out of steam. Ippy to be Bottom, and BGS to pick up 2 big surprise wins. TSS surely...

    Reds 2016

Is it just me or does Bath's latest signing of Amanaki Mafi push a Leroy Houston return? They now have 8 First team quality backrowers including Francois Loew, Toby Faulatau, Alafoti Faosiliva and Dave Denton. 8 does not go into 3 and I have a sneaky suspicion one of the current crop will have to go

    QLD Premier Rugby 2016

This maybe a silly question but where does Wests Colts come from? Do they have a close affiliation with local clubs (ie Kenmore) or are they closely connected to a school? (I.e. Terrace/Nudgee to Brothers). There's always been some talent over there and with BBC a strong rugby school in the...

approximately had 8 u16's by the time they played GT with 4 injuries to their best u16's. So about 12 coming back for the assault next year.

    QLD GPS Rugby 2016

This years firsts across all school baring Churchie. At schools like BBC, Ipswich there was a distinct lack of 16's simply showing that it's a step up. At grammar and terrace they had at least 7 or so and this showed in their lack of results

This year showed more than ever that even the best u15 players in the comp still find it difficult to shine against, bigger, stronger and faster senior boys. It's as simple as that

let's not get ahead of ourselves. A 16a cohort who finished near the bottom and a first XV that one 3 games? TSS look the goods to me, along with a strong bshs side
