    Qld Premier Rugby 2024

Fair point - but without being able to articulate why I feel like there is a clear difference between TJ and Louis. TJ can pick his moments and gets value out of it for his team. Louis seems to have the opposite effect (or at least appeared to on the weekend - might just be recency bias)

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

A rugby fan would watch the NFL and wonder why they need a separate group of blokes for offence and defence (unless that rugby fan grew up in the Quade Cooper era, I suppose)

You must also work in advertising with this glass half full attitude.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

NFL don't seem to care about their gaps. If anything they've built an entire business model out of them.

    Refereeing decisions

We largely do the first bit anyway. Even for serious injuries, typically the game doesn't stop until the ball becomes dead or play comes close to the injured player. The uncontested scrum thing, ehh maybe? But what if that player requires medical attention and cannot physically walk from the...

    Refereeing decisions

Please remember this is not a referee thing. Referees aren't doctors and can't determine whether it is medically safe to remove an "injured" player from the field or tell them to play on. World Rugby could mandate something - but honestly find me a contact sport in the world that has solved this...

    Refereeing decisions

I'd say that, that would still be considered not straight. Throwing team still needs to ensure a contest is possible in the first place Few examples I think they'll consider as no contest, and therefore allow a non-straight throw Defending team doesn't jump Thrown anywhere in the line, and the...

It's way easier to confirm my dogmas if I don't have to have prove them.

    Refereeing decisions

Yeah 100%, there is probably something internal that they are working to in determining what is a contest and what isn't but needs to be clear to the fans as well.

Sadly it's been his problem for years - going back as far as school, and unless something changes will probably mean he's reached his ceiling.

lets assume every single referee available would have made the same call, rightly or wrongly. in that case - why shouldn’t he have been put in that position? Do you think he’s a cheat?

Yeah look if you had a ill-informed crack at a referee and inferred that they were a cheat or biased in some way I probably called you an idiot back then too. I have form in this area

Because his objectivity is only being questioned by salty idiots who’s team just lost. Why not accept a loss with a tiny bit of humility and maturity. But nah double down - you boys don’t sound pathetic at all…

    Qld Premier Rugby 2024

Nah honestly I couldn’t care less who wins. Most of my comment history in this thread is calling out salty losers (like yourself) who throw tantrums over refereeing rather than take losses with humility.

Flops will always find something to cry foul about. Want accountability but only when they dont have to take it themselves.

    Qld Premier Rugby 2024

Nothing screams sore loser / “I’m a shit fan” more than blaming the ref for your loss, x10 that if you’re campaigning for neutral or non-club affiliated refs in amateur club footy…

Our competitive sporting landscape is kind of similar to Ireland Rugby is obviously not 3rd in Aus but like Ireland its not close to 1 either. And there are about 1/4 the amount of people in Ireland (including Northern Ireland) than Australia suggesting we should have a bigger crop to choose...

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

I wonder what the bargaining chips were? Tillies undoubtedly the most popular national team and they've got 2 major tournaments (one being played in the middle of the night again). Genuinely not sure who's won this deal.
