Agreed. I am sure the Tiges were a bit down on the day, I watched it with a Tiger supporter who said that but didn't offer any excuses. I really couldn't care one way or the other (Bond excluded), but I see it as anyone's race at this stage. Probably favour Uni at this stage

Fritz, you must have had too many Tiger ales. To blame the Hoff and to even say that the Easts scrum had parity shows you viewpoint is biased. Sunnybank won the scrims and the game. Watch out for Bond...big improvers....maybe next year!

Didn't I just say that in my post?

You could be correct Sabanator, but he already has caused big issues with the long standing rugby supporters. I hope you are correct because he is being paid a lot of money

    Reds 2015

Yes I did, but I need to confess that I'm against signing highly paid players from other codes. It doesn't do rugby much good, our talent looks elsewhere and if they flop we look silly. I read that the ARU would not top up his contract but as you have said they probably did. I would feel better...

    Reds 2015

Well this is where we dis-agree. I believe that this signing was motivated by marketability, we paid overs for a player that was good at school! There are shit loads of them. Played a half season at Biarritz (?). French rugby is not a great measure. I'm not saying that he wasn't a very good...

Reg, you have missed my point. It is not the marketing department I am upset with. More the use (mis-use) of our player recruitment funds to sign players who have "marketability". This blurs the line in regard to their effectiveness to do the job player wise. One of the players signed has taken...

    Reds 2015

In relation to Volavola, he wasn't required because they had Beale as back-up and Foley played near every game. When was the last time Quadey played a whole season. The point I am making (hindsight is a good thing) is that in such a pivotal position the wrong strings were pulled. That's it

    Reds 2015

I believe that he needs more time to be ready for S15. I don't want to be too critical but his effort in GF I think fell a little short and I wasn't convinced by his NRC efforts. He will make it in the long run. You mention Volavola nd Beale- both better options than Reds. They also had the...

    Reds 2015

But 10 is a very pivotal position (as proven). While JOC (James O'Connor) may be serviceable (at a stretch) and McIntyre showed that he is not ready, DP and KH were dreadful

    Reds 2015

I have to disagree here. Two of the back-up options you mentioned were not playing rugby. Does RG think anyone can successfully steer a S15 team around the paddock. Make one of them VC. Poor recruiting, spent way too much on KH, unknown quantity

Yes BD, ther seems to be a bit in common with these two, perhaps not in terms of ability

    Reds 2015

Interestingly I have refrained from entering discussions for some time due to the fact that I had nothing positive to contribute other than supporting the Reds for 10+ years. My girlfriend doesn't like me attending all games so while they will still be my team, I have other options

    Reds 2015

And I am afraid that after attending all games this year in the hope of revival, that I too will not be renewing membership. I have stuck it out as a devout Reds fan but I can't stand the head in the sand approach. Some of the excuses (do they employ someone) are annoying me, no accountability...

Reg, I am concerned that we haven't got enough size (height) at 6,7 and 8. We will need something extra

Go our Colts1!! Always a challenge against Uni. In prems Sunnybank were immense in the second half yesterday, in particular the no8 and Liam Gill. What a turn around! To take it to Uni Sunnybank will need to sort out their halves. Probably their area of weakness besides lineout throws
