    Under-20 Competitions including Oceania & World U20s

Yes thats David Vahiu another anointed child star who has done nothing of note to earn this jumper. He completely blew the game for them by failing to pass on the inside with 3 unmarked team mates in support. I also felt Jack Bowen has been very disappointing this tournament, Aussies looked good...

    AIC 2023

In my opinion teams are and have always been selected on reputation not performance. Classic example was the Qld 16's last year. A pretty ordinary side with heavy connections to a certain school.

    CAS Rugby 2023

You really think the school games have any bearing on Gen Blue selections? The Gen Blue teams would have been locked in well before the season started. All these rep teams are generally locked in well before the preceding games or tournament is held. We wouldnt want the pathways team at NSW...

    NSW AAGPS 2023

Not sure about NSW but Elton Flatley played 4 seasons of 1stXV for Nudgee in the Brisbane competition starting in year 9.

    Qld Premier Rugby 2023

in fairness Sunnybank would struggle to beat any team at present.

    CAS Rugby 2023

back in the day (mid-late 90's) there were kids who were making the CAS sides from there school 2nd XV, i know of at least 2 x kids that played 2ndXV at their school and both made CAS 2ndXV when there were 3 x CAS sides picked.

    CAS Rugby 2023

100% agree, i've got a 14 year old very good and ambitious rugby player who is in the NSW Country Squad with a goal to make the 23 to play Sydney and then make the u14 Gen Blue training squad they are announcing to train at some stage later this year. He will never attend a GPS/CAS school based...

    CAS Rugby 2023

nah what i'm saying is that did they win because they are the best rugby team or because they are bigger/faster/stronger....

    CAS Rugby 2023

so what your saying is that the kids from Waverley have matured earlier than their peers and such are bigger, faster, stronger. So why dont we give it 3 years and see how dominate they are..... who actually cares about what happens in the 13-15's so much of the results are determined by the...

    NSW AAGPS 2023

Moving across to CAS the Waverley team of 1999 were STACKED.... Morgan Turinui, Patrick Phibss, Stephen Hoiles, the late Shawn Mackay, Tim McGann (stellar career in Ireland) Morgan Sigg (played pro in Italy, France & South Africa) they still couldnt win the premiership.

a lot of you guys would have been too young to see the great GPS teams of the 90's. Some amazing teams littered throughout all the schools.

    CAS Rugby 2023

In my day we questioned could Waverley even class themselves as a private school with the Queens park facilities akin of the Government variety.

The Qld AIC schools (equivalent of the CAS in NSW) play Union in term 2 then play League in Term3

    NSW AAGPS 2023

no one is required to play up or down even if they are outside the age guidelines. All mum and dad need to say is my son isn't mentally capable of playing up or down whatever the case is or that we don't want him to play up or down and then there is nothing anyone can do about it.

    CAS Rugby 2023

I can 100% guarantee that as a parent of a Nudgee child who was in Sydney on Saturday we do offer scholarships even kids in yr7/8 are being provided with "financial assistance" to attend the college, however this is the norm in Qld. However there wouldn't be 1 kid in that team on Saturday on aa...

    QLD Colts 2023

Im not trying to GPS bash, the point i am making is that you dont significantly improve in 3 or 4 months. I am merely saying that Wildman was over looked for kids who are in this mythical GPS competition. Good kids are missing out due to the fact of the school they go to.
