    Bledisloe 1: 29 July @ MCG

Am kind of thinking along these lines after the game. Not all doom and gloom except for the injuries at tight head. I think Gordon with White at half next game to do the restarts would ease some of the pressure on him. Looking at the kiwis they went all in for this one, full strength line up...

    Bledisloe 1: 29 July @ MCG

Cat D behind the posts were cheap. $88 for a family ticket plus I grabbed 3 junior tickets for fifth child and 2 of their mates for $20 each. Like Allianz view is decent in the cheap seats. Only shame was a small subsection of Argentina supporters perched on concourse behind us splashing their...

Waratahs v Moana Pasifika, Allianz Stadium Saturday 3 June 2023

That could be the best option at 10 and 15. Not sure what Moana’s following in Sydney is like but hope a decent turnout for Hoops last. My older 2 kids were on to me to go and have enjoyed the atmosphere at Allianz this year.

Brumbies v Waratahs, Sat 1st April, GIO

Law 16 DURING A MAUL 8. The ball-carrier in a maul may go to ground provided that player makes the ball available immediately. Sanction: Scrum. 9. All other players in a maul must endeavour to stay on their feet. 10. All players in a maul must be caught in or bound to it and not just alongside...

    No. Brumbies gifted it.

Brumbies v Waratahs, Sat 1st April, GIO

I rate Way, and Graham Cooper. Williams best of kiwis. Berry should not be picked for reds or Tahs games. Gardiner likes to show how tough he can be on Tahs in the past as well. Not sure why we persist with Murphy.

Brumbies v Waratahs, Sat 1st April, GIO

My kids asked why I tipped Brumbies this week. Berry is a 10 point handicap for the Tahs.

    Refereeing decisions

Most relevant bits I can find. Law 15.8 The ruck ends and play continues when the ball leaves the ruck or when the ball in the ruck is on or over the goal line. Game Management Guidelines > Ruck > ball out and collapsed ruck At a tackle, a player can pick up the ball if one foot is level with...

    Refereeing decisions

Because professional teams deliberately infringe when on the back foot and red zone. The inconcsistency when some teams get away with it actually leads to more teams rolling the dice. I'd like to see more consistent and firm application of cards for repeat infringements till players get the...

    Refereeing decisions

I think the inconsistency of the TMO intervention on foul play is more of an issue. We get random ones for penalty only clean outs but letting text book YC and RC's go unreviewed in the same game. Perhaps the TMO should be limited to YC threshold referrals only unless ref calls for TMO to check...

Bledisloe 2. Eden Park, 24th Sept 7.05pm NZT. 5.05 pm AEST, 3.05 WA

Raynal was all over the shop last week and tonight was only marginally better but Welsh TMO has been very poor across both games in terms of foul play and in goal reviews. Finding a knock on in goal by the Wallabies was peak 'value add'. No doubt review of last week put them on to the guidelines...

2022 Bledisloe Cup. Wallabies vs All Blacks

Another burst re Swain incident  I guess we had to fill void while we sit and wait for the world‘s longest judiciary process. Imagine if the game had been played on Saturday would this be a Friday night appointment? Being a new area judiciary it could go either way but probably not a...

2022 Bledisloe Cup. Wallabies vs All Blacks

But you gave me pics of the one but not the other? Sadly the video of Newells in the article is not great and a poor angle but both involved coming in from side, grabbing the leg and dropping weight on it. One resulted in serious injury, the other fortunately did not. It would be great if there...

2022 Bledisloe Cup. Wallabies vs All Blacks

It’s OK the usual suspects will spend the next four pages explaining why this was completely different And Swain‘s was so much worse.

2022 Bledisloe Cup. Wallabies vs All Blacks

It’s a new area targeted this year. There must have been some Melbourne Storm style wrestling up north. interestingly nothing in Game Management Guidelines re card levels. Hence Owens caution re weighing actions not injury outcome. The videos they showed us looked very deliberate vs Swain looked...

2022 Bledisloe Cup. Wallabies vs All Blacks

From the GMGs… Lifting tackles • World Rugby has provided guidelines for situations where a tackler lifts the player off the ground and their feet pass the horizontal and where the individual lands. o PK – the player is lifted passed the horizontal and land back on their feet. Even if the...

2022 Bledisloe Cup. Wallabies vs All Blacks

This, except time should never have been called off as disrupted the play. Terrible game management for a paid professional. If you want to time out the kicker should just give a 10 second warning then count down, slowly, so you get them to stop mucking around and kick and don’t back yourself...

Law9.26. In open play, any player may lift or support a team-mate. Players who do so must lower that player to the ground safely as soon as the ball is won by either team. Sanction: Free-kick. Havent seen the game In question but the law was changed to stop exactly what you are describing. Same...
