RWC 2023 - All Blacks pool matches

Based on results so far, Uruguay will fancy themselves against the All Blacks :D

    RWC: Pool C - Wallabies v Fiji - Monday 18 Sep 2am AEST

I still reckon just push Donaldson back to 23 and start Kellaway. The only way Gordon is going to get better is by kicking more. Plus they have Nic White this week who can also take shots if needed.

    RWC: Pool C - Wallabies v Fiji - Monday 18 Sep 2am AEST

As much as I think Kellaway has been hard done by he is now shaping as the perfect #23 option. The bench is crucial in these games so he will still be very important. I can see a situation where either Donaldson comes off at 60 mins or Gordon comes off and Donaldson moves to 10. That is...

agreed definitely not Wells. They might go with White but I hope not because want IFL to start a lot of games Rodda would be a good option if fit. Maybe Hamish Stewart or Williams could be a bolter?

    Australian Rugby / RA

Yeah I think both formats would have issues. 4 pools of 6 seems better to me with just the top 2 going through to quarter finals, but I agree watching the likes of Romania play 5 games is a bit much. They could instead keep the 4 pools of 5 teams but have say 6 teams play off for the last...

Yep or could end up with Donaldson at 10 and Potter at 15 which is where he has been in the trials. Good to have options

    Rugby World Cup 2023

It looks that way but would be very nice to see a fresh Tonga have a decent crack at Ireland and then Japan the same against England. I don't think Group A is done yet, a lot of people assuming England top and Argies 2nd now but I think Samoa and/or Japan will upset one of them.

    Western Force 2024

Pulu is gone. Hopefully someone else to be announced. I think Potter might be wasted on the wing but Spink has a mortgage on 13. Building some good depth if we have a bench of IFL, Burey, Kunezle, Tiatia etc

    Wallabies 2023

I think it has been understated how big of a loss Tom Robertson was. Another bloke who can play both sides would be very handy

We have two of the wingers from the strong Aussie under 20s team, just play them they are good to go

ideally yes but RugbyAU keeps telling everyone they have no money. Maybe if Twiggy gets involved....

Haha yeah and we might need him for his goalkicking anyway if Pasitoa is preferred to Burey

    League Targets

I am still not a fan of this strategy. Sign one good player or put money in to a third tier and further develop 20 good players and all the under 20s who choose to stick around. Not to mention the womens game. If we are going to go all out on just trying to win our home world cup...

    RWC: Pool C - Wallabies v Fiji - Monday 18 Sep 2am AEST

I am still worried about our centre pairing. Kerevi looks well below 100% and Petaia had good moments but drifts in and out of games. But they are still the best option. At least if we pick Kellaway at 23 he can also cover outside centre in case something goes wrong there, but will need...

    Wallabies 2023

Agree with all those selections and assume you mean Quarter's not Semi's. I think now we would want to finish top and avoid England, whereas pre tournament I wasn't fussed whether we played England or Argies.

    Wallabies 2023

My initial thought was I wanted IFL to start but now I am thinking he would be more suited to the bench to lift the tempo against hopefully tiring Fijians. Although Fiji finished much stronger than Wales so fitness doesn't appear an issue!

    RWC: Pool C - Wallabies v Georgia, SdF Sunday 10th September 2am

Skelton was huge in this game, took more pilfers than we have been getting from our opensides since pocock retired. He is getting better and better every game and has the potential to take this tournament by storm. Having no locks on the bench is just stupid though and hopefully not a...

    Wallabies 2023

I don’t think we can risk not playing our best team against Fiji from the start, will know more after watching them tonight. I definitely would have liked to see him give gleeson more time last night though McReight didn’t do a lot from what I saw, M Hooper would have played better

    RWC: Pool C - Wallabies v Georgia, SdF Sunday 10th September 2am

With my annoyance at seeing Donaldson in for Kellaway I never picked up on the fact that Faessler is back up hooker over Uelese. That is one positive! Let's not forget that Eddie is the one who picked Pietsch because he can apparently play backrow and Kemeny because he can apparently play...
