Thanks, Admin.
Add to that he is finally getting a run in his preferred position of fullback and you can see why he has been better than the last two years.
He has never had the most lethal ball running skills so behind a pack going backwards isn't going to do much. I'd argue his overall skillset is his best...
Yep like him in the setup but best lock in the world is a hyperbole, I'm not even sure he makes the top 15.
I'd take Itoje, Etzebeth, Rettalick, Willemese, Whitelock, AWJ, Arnold, Woki, Ryan, De Jager, Beirne, Rodda ahead of him right now.
Agreed, if the rumours are true and we have a 5 test tour I think Arnold, Skelton and depending how are hookers are fairing potentially even Latu or BPA will be bought into the squad for EOYT tour.
Rennie will want to get a better feel for all his available options ahead of RWC 2023
I agree it is rubbish to watch games, but it is almost certainly the venue where they will get the biggest crowd. Closest to the Rugby heartlands meaning the members will be full and also closest to Bondi/Coogee which have an enormous population of English expats.
They sold out the France test...
Rebels side not looking too shabby this week.
Decent front row, backrow, halves pairing and back three. I expect this one to be closer than people are making it out
Interesting situation re the Brumbies hookers. It would be nice for Aus Rugby iif they could settle on 2 so the others can get game time elsewhere.
Connal is my pick to start, who along with Porecki is probably the best at set piece of all the Aussie hookers, just turned 27 so right in his...
We've seen him play 2 games in his preferred position and he has been very solid. Let's wait and see a few weeks, he is the same age as Tom Banks and Jock Campbell who many argue are only just coming into their prime now. The Anti-Newsome rhetoric is a bit unwarranted IMHO
It's currently pissing down and has been for most of the day. I was locked in to go with a group of 9 mates who have now all pulled the pin due to the weather, they will be lucky to get >5k. Now trying to find a pub that is showing it which is nigh on impossible, disaster.
Don't get me wrong I think Hunter is a good player who will get better and better over the next few years. At this point in time he is in just his second year as a fulltime professional Rugby player and his performance was down on the weekend. No harm in trying other options

He offered nothing. See examples towards the end of this article
True, maybe Foketi then. Yes Hunter defended well but he was a liability in attack. Use the Scotland game to see if Foketi or Perese can do any better and if not revert to Hunter for the England game as you know what you are going to get
Because we have been dog shit for the last 4 years without the intl based players. When we got Kerevi back we went on a bit of a run that had started to build a bit of belief in our national side and the game in Australia and we had a team that might actually challenge the likes of England...
Agreed. Korobiete and Kerevi are our two most talented backs atm and both locked into Japanese contracts for the the foreseeable future.
I'd give Perese a crack against the Scots
