    Shute Shield 2015

Yeah, on his day though Horwitz is a real talent - saw one game this year where he was head and shoulders above everyone else and one where he just didnt get going.

    Shute Shield 2015

Well deserved, one of the best tacklers in the SS this year. Although I am slightly biased... I think if he gets game time for the Rams he will shine this year in the NRC.

    Japan Super Rugby team

Soccer teams in the J-league changed their names to areas yes but they are still owned and sponsored mostly by the companies that owned the JSL teams. Newly formed teams also strongly identify with the major companies of the area. Its a different mind set in Japan, no team is truly independent...

Rugby could follow the same trajectory and be just as big in 10/15 years or so. I have only been to games in Tokyo but...

    Shute Shield 2015

Its a pity Dave Dennis didnt opt to seek a release from Uni (and get some of that dispensation) and give the Emus a boost in their last Home game of the year/season. So much for caring about the demise of rugby West of Camperdown;)

    The Official Shield Thread.

How about making it 4 defences (of which 3 must be home games in the regular season) with the other 1 being a regular season game of the holders choice No pre-season games allowed - Log o wood has this due to them having a lower tier comp (Heartland).

    Sydney University Football Club

Well done Tom, much criticised by a few but has achieved more than most in the game. A great club man and actually seems a good bloke whenever I have come into contact with him.
