    Qld Premier Rugby 2023

Re players being rested: I understand it from both sides, but in the case of Taniela, who's been publicly stating for months now he was to return via club, it only reflects poorly on him now for these false promises. Not to mention I think it's pretty unfair for a player who hasn't played in the...

Pretty sure he was training in the impromptu wallaby camp last week with little issues. Would assume this weekend will be a match fitness test and wouldn't expect big minutes out of him.

On the topic of grounds, How's Ballymore looking? I might be mistaken but I was under the impression the finals series would be held there again this year and haven't heard boo about it being completed yet.

Would also anticipate Feasler, Hoopert, Smith, Wilson, Flook, JOC (James O'Connor) and Creighton for the filth come back end. Hence a new front row and professional backline with: 9 - Christian 10- JOC (James O'Connor) 11- Tim Ryan 12- Paddy James 13- Micheal Bond 14-Flook 15-Creighton Bench- Adams

I think the Lack of NRC has seen development and training contracts all heading to school leavers and 'younger' prospects over the form rugby players in the QPR who haven't had the opportunity to showcase their potential on a higher level.

Haven't seen him lining up for UQ either so may be injury related?

The Tim Sampson thought train has ended, Rebels just locked him up as an assistant until the end of 2025

    Reds 2023

They did bring Steven Moore out of retirement on a couple of trips to avoid having Faessler there after he was one of the form hookers of QPR for a number of years.

If you've watched any of the Six nations or Super Rugby Pacific this year there have been red cards for a lot less, regardless of if this is only a semi-professional comp it's good to see some consistency, whether you agree with it at the top level or not, filtering through to club football...

He can produce wallabies, just can't develop them into consistent squad members from there eg. Tate, Wilson, JOC (James O'Connor).

Wallabies who have left under thorn include: Quade, Slipper, Rodda, Karmichael, BPA, Lukan, Kerevi and Tupou Not all his fault however it's paints quite the "what could have been" with better player management and retention.

Rebels with the bye this week so and playing at home, wests will be bolstered. Coming off a lost to souths UQ might be blown out of the water. Calling a 20 point margin to wests here.

This is true and you make a good point, but it does go both ways. I'm sure there are lots of second grade or other players who love their club through their development but then get disgruntled because a player moves into a their club and knocks them back down the pecking order. It's harsh to...

Don't seem to have the typical armada of contracted players to come back into the fold this year either with Jock and Tate likely wallabies bound. Life beyond Heenan might be harder then expected.

Fair to say the Brisbane metro is well covered with few junior clubs not represented. With Sunnybank and Bond further south, a case could be made for sunshine coast club.

They hardly have enough money to fix their fields, let alone pay players.

After the first 30 it appeared our first up tackles weren't sticking and we had a few passengers/mental errors from there. Hopefully it's as simple as some match fitness and a reving during the week.
