Force vs Rebels Round 1, 2016

And don't get me wrong, no knock on McMahon, he's a super player & every team loves to have a nut case like him on their side, just don't think 7 is his spot. Depends what you want there I guess.

Force vs Rebels Round 1, 2016

Considering McMahon has barley started a game at 7 in Super Rugby & has less than a handful of starts there for the Wallabies, I fail to see how he could be considered a superior 7 to Hodgson, let alone his teammates Fainga'a & Reid.

    John I Dent 2015

The point raised by Jimbo Jones re the Macdougall Medal is a valid one. From 1984 to 1990 Royals & Daramalan contested every Grand Final yet not one of their players won a Macdougall Medal & to suggest the winners of the medal in those years were the best in the comp ahead of at least 10 players...

Glad to hear the grub responsible for that sickening head cut to the Royals reserve grade player from a couple of weeks ago copped a 5 game suspension.

    Stormers vs Rebels @ Newlands

Would love to know the reasoning behind Fugs inclusion. And how English keeps getting a gig is beyond me.

    Rebels 2015

Reid has played very well in the last 2 games but I still reckon Fainga'a is the better option at 7. Both have very high workrates, are excellent defenders & strong over the ball but Fainga'a offers more with ball in hand, especially when he gets a bit wider of the ruck as illustrated last week.

The impending Hooper vs Pocock Dilemma

Jordy Reid had a great game last week but he did not get 5 pilfers, he got 1.

Friday 8th May, Rebels v Blues @ AAMI Park

Great win rebels but Tony..why the fuck would you bring your best player off with 20min to go. Fainga'a was absolutely killing it, just because you have a pre match plan to replace him with Fugs with 20 to doesn't mean you have to follow through with it

Agree McMahon needs a rest but why would you shift one of the locks to six when you have someone in Colby who played virtually the whole season at 6 last year, winning the players player award doing it & has done absolutely nothing wrong this year?

Friday 8th May, Rebels v Blues @ AAMI Park

What you would expect to win at the start of the year is irrelevant. It would have been a very optimistic Rebels fan that expected away wins over the Crusaders & Brumbies at the start of the year, let alone a home win against the Chiefs.

    Waratahs v Rebels - ANZ - Anzac Day 2015

Who does he replace? TT is sold on Fugli as much as he is on Leafa. Fainga'a is twice the player Fuglistaller is & should be the starting 7.

    Waratahs v Rebels - ANZ - Anzac Day 2015

How much longer can they keep Fainga'a on the pine:mad: Totally wasted there.

Brumbies v Rebels, Round 10 @ GIO stadium

The Brumbies have been using that hold the ball in the scrum, wait for a penalty tactic since White was coaching & it is a total blight on the game. Backline starter/strike play practice must take about 5 minutes of training each week because anything else would be a complete waste of time...

    Force v Rebels Rd 5

I'd doubt that's the reason. If you've ever seen a captains run you'd know you'd be pretty stiff to get injured. Regardless, players get injured in team warm ups & there are late changes to starting line ups all the time. All the NRL teams are in Wednesday's press. I realise some other Super...

Would love to know the reason why they leave their team announcement so late.

The impending Hooper vs Pocock Dilemma

No stats ACT Crusader, just an observation & I agree with the other points you, Braveheart & The Brown Horne have raised. I think there are even more penalties out there for "off your feet" not given than there are. In some of the positions players find themselves in trying to win the ball, it...

The impending Hooper vs Pocock Dilemma

Interesting point made about the game being different to when Pockock was dominating. Refs don't give nearly as many "holding on" penalties as they used to with the attacking side seemingly given more time to blow a defender off the ball. Admittedly Pockock is incredibly hard to shift once he is...

    Rebels 2015

The Rebels lineout is painful to watch. The number of times they stuff up an attacking lineout is staggering for this level. I agree with Dumbledore...why oh why when you have a dodgy thrower do you attempt to go to the back on an attacking lineout? Surely they have done their stats & must...

Rebels v Brumbies Super Rugby 2015 Rnd 3

Agree the wingers have had very few opportunities & don't deserve the axe. Would love to see the Rebels get some pill out to them or at least allow them to chance their arm in counter attack rather than kicking most of the ball back to the opposition.
