    Thoughts on Folau to rugby

    Thoughts on Folau to rugby

To be fair to them, they had a point if he didn't re-sign and left after 1 year. I don't think anyone ever doubted the talent. It was more about how serious he was about rugby. Looks like he's fairly serious about it now.

    Spring Tour Improvements

Maybe you missed what I wrote, Greg Inglis is famous for turning up every 3rd game, take last night's Rugby League WC final - he did nothing. Same as Israel Dagg. Very average most games and then plays the house down in the odd game and is deemed the greatest. Spare me.

    Spring Tour Improvements

Israel Dagg? The 'Greg Inglis' of rugby union? Turns up every 3rd game. Often loses concentration during games. No where near as good as the Folau version of Israel or consistent.

    Wales v Wallabies, Cardiff, Nov 30 2013

biggsy, this is not the same Quade playing. It's not a case of I told you so, he's making far less errors, his improved game dramatically for the better. No doubt the coach has something to do with this but also his attitude is now the most impressive thing. Sour grapes.

Cummins has really impressed me. I knew he was good player but I always thought he was limited and would only ever be an average, finishing-only type player at Test level. He's a world class winger.

Ewen should ban anyone going home before midnight. Very classy interview by Quade. The turnaround by this guy is remarkable. Gives hope and guidance to Beale and O'Connor.

Hooper is incredible. The amount of work he gets through is unhuman. I've never seen anything like it. He gets smashed every ruck and gets back up too.

The impending Hooper vs Pocock Dilemma

On what planet is Warburton a better 7 than Hooper? He will be nominated but lose to Read.

    Ireland v Australia, Dublin, 16 Nov 2013

Folau's high ball prowess is great but why isn't it being used more in attacking situations? He was something like 2/2 for the Waratahs on attacking try scoring kicks. You'd back 1 on 1 against anyone else in the world.

The impending Hooper vs Pocock Dilemma

Definitely, he's mobile, I wasn't saying it was weakness on his part but he's more suited to heavier packs. Loose, wet days will also suit him where as hard, dry tracks would suit Hooper better.

    Scotland v Australia, Murrayfield, 5am 24 Nov 2013

AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)'s injury looked collision based but one does wonder if he might've pulled up better if he was able to rest his body a little bit. The Wallabies have been reasonably lucky with injuries this year (from Test rugby, not Super Rugby) and I wouldn't be testing the waters further.

The impending Hooper vs Pocock Dilemma

Is Super Rugby going to tell you much? Some people here thought Gill had a superior Super Rugby campaign than Hooper. Play Pocock against big packs than don't use the ball much. South Africa, England, Italy, Argentina etc. Play Hooper against mobile packs that put width into their game. New...
