    Where to for Super Rugby?

But would certainly be used by the ARU as evidence that the decision to axe the Force was the correct one because even test matches can't draw a decent crowd in Perth. I think the more fans who turn up, the better. But it would be good to see some sort of organised protest.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

I say full marks for the ARU trying the five franchises but, if as seems likely now, they had misgivings about the financial viability back then, they should have been taking steps to limit the drain on their finances rather than just seemingly being a bottomless pit for the franchises to dip...

And that's just another reason he should not be in the running for the job. A complete break from the ARU nitwits is needed at the top to ensure rugby can and will start to move in other directions. ATM it is in a race with itself to the bottom. Incidentally, I think he has had a very similar...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

So sorry to see my second favourite team axed. Can only hope rugby continues to gain pace in the West in some fashion or other. Time to get behind the Spirit in the NRC I think.

This looks really weird. It seems from those reports that the ARU has taken the decision to axe the Force without waiting for the outcome of the Arbitration. Am I missing something? Or should we assume the Arbitrator's decieion is known to the ARU?

    Brumbies 2018

IMO Swain was the top U20s lock in the country and must be signed in some fashion by the Brumbies for next year and beyond.

    Force 2018

Maybe, if the current coaches go out with the players.;):(

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Well, Scrub, if the ARU are so adamant about not going into the "Red" then maybe there's a team towards the north that should exit?;)

But the added advantage is that he will on most occasions kick it dead from about 60m if he misses. Perhaps he might also increase his success rate if he was given more opportunities and spent time at training to get his eye in?

But it'd likely help, especially if the ABs or whomever the opposition is, is discouraged from flouting the laws around the half way mark or even into the Wallabies' territory. And the added bonus is that if he misses but kicks it dead as he's bound to do, then the chances are good that the...

    Kalgoorlie? Nothing new by reputation.

My only concern with Meakes at 12 is that it might deny Hodge the spot. I firmly believe Hodge should be in the starting as his long range goal kicking could be used as a threat to the opposition sides and just might let the Wallabies play with a bit more freedom around the centre of the park...

    The Wallabies Thread

Paradoxically, if the same punters were asked to pick the current Wallaby they would most like to see punted, I bet the consensus answer would result in Genia, based on the predominance of anti-Genia posts on this site. Good reasons? Selecting players just returning from injury or just...

BH, you'd really like to think that the punters' choice would also align closely with the coaches' choice, as we watch the same players go round all year, and possibly watch some more than the coaches do. The notable point I see in the above side is that it contains two only Waratahs, Foley...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

I gave up reading Half's posts about a month or so ago, just for that very reason. I have not one iota of interest in anything soccer.

    Reds 2018

Wow, depending on the outcome of course, but the QRU are looking like handy replacements for the ARU if they implode after the Force arbitration case is decided.

Conflicting opinions - that's ok. But I've never been impressed by him. I think his lineout throwing is suspect and his general play is uninspiring.

But he (Cheika) has been playing ducks and drakes with the locks for the past couple of years. First Simmons is in and then he's dropped. Carter gets a go and is discarded. Douglas doesn't even get a look in iirc. In the meantime, a couple of new blood replacements come in and prove to be the...

I would have to agree that Sam probably didn't offer what Cheika wanted, but then to go back to others who haven't delivered over quite a few years now is surely a giant backwards step. I am happy to see Rodda get his chance and believe he will one day be pushing for a Wallabies' starting spot...

BH, I think all the views expressed by fans on this site could be accommodated in three or four different structures operating at the one time.;)
