How many bailouts have the Brumbies received from the ARU so far? I'm too impatient to wait for a response - zero. They're the only team not to be bailed out by the ARU.

I'm surprised anyone in Melbourne who isn't a die hard rugby fan knows what's going on with the Rebels, because there's no media coverage down here sans the odd article in Fairfax...........

More teams have been using the maul as a weapon this year....... The Chiefs especially in the early rounds......... The Brumbies are probably responsible for its currently popularity but I don't think they're now the worst offenders.

I don't really want to see any changes to the Brumbies lineup or Fardy stripped of the captaincy, but I assume Carter will be back.........

Jones had his regularly weekly opinion wank piece on Sunrise this morning where he was asked about how the AFL should handle racial abuse......... Not once, but twice, he begun an answer with "When I coached Australia..........." Apparently racism in sport didn't exist when he coached.

The Rebels only had higher average crowds and TV ratings than the Brumbies in 2011. But yes, let's move on.

Alternative facts? The Brumbies average crowds and TV ratings were higher than the Rebels in 2 of those first 3 years............

Rugby can be a success in Melbourne, but right now it's not.......... Melbourne is obviously a very competitive marketplace, and right now the Rebels are well behind the other codes with poor crowds (yes, rugby crowds are down everywhere) and zero media exposure.

But rugby currently sits a distant fourth in the battle of the codes in Melbourne........ If the Rebels remain they're going to have to do a lot of work to gain some public interest.

Nah, there's still a healty Bloods fan base down south........ In fact, I believe that roughly a third of their members are based in Melbourne with the largest grouping still in South Melbourne.

Is it too soon to draw up a shopping wishlist of players for next year?

So it's come down to the Force and the Rebels.......... If the rumors are true it will be the Force, who are by far the least deserving of the two right now.
