RWC 2019 Final: England v South Africa

Actually at some time it would be interesting. It's not rugby, maybe there is an off topic somewhere?

    Wallabies 2020

They left the Super and turned to the north on a very clever play for funds as NZ was insisting on team reduction in Super. They handled that situation very well and left the rest of us looking silly. They also look for international opportunity for the rest of the premier div in Currie Cup...

    Rugby World Cup 2019

Perhaps. But I don’t think it makes up for the initial rounds’ reffing. Which was at times diabolically laughable. Also, this thing of being even handed with (poor) reffing at the breakdown - this does not create a level playing field. Not if the lax interpretations are positive to one teams...

    Waratahs 2020

Something like 35min train ride from Central + 10min walk. Sydney is not Adelaide and it is not the eastern suburbs. It's pretty good and pretty central. If you insist there is usually somewhere in the area you can park a car.

    Waratahs 2020

Have you checked out Eels/Parramatta? It's fabulous. Would be fantastic for rugby.

    2019 IRB rugby awards

It has to be said that Erasmus has done all that was promised and much, much more. RSA rugby is in a great place for 2020 and the future. Let’s hope that this kak with Etzebeth is over swiftly and rugby can continue to shine a light in Africa.

    Wallabies 2020

I'll come back to this. In the first instance I understand I may not have a view that is popular. But let's start here: "there are some/many in the NZ rugby union system who claim they have been far more successful because" - if you want to ape the Kiwis there is very likely little we (you and...

    Waratahs 2020

    Not for rugby.

    Wallabies 2020

Let me see the coach first. Then hear what the coach is chasing. Then from our DOR on how the system is getting behind it. BTW stuff the concept of Super Rugby teams being prescribed to WB game plan. Each state/franchise is entitled to drive toward wins and being competitive in their own way.

    Rugby World Cup 2019

haha. DOR and living National treasure. And actually it does raise issues. Imagine them having a Cheika-like HC problem in the run up to the next RWC. But you know the DOR is ready and capable of stepping in. Interesting dynamic.

    Rugby World Cup 2019

IMO Rassie is showing himself to be the perfect DOR. Took c ontrol, realised the coach wasn't up to it, stepped in. Directly and focused completely on Saffer strengths to return to strength. They will now want an HC to take this foundation forward. And Rassie will be a perfect DOR.

RWC 2019 Final: England v South Africa

Bill holders, No 1 in the rankings v rank 6. Lol. Proof of the pudding is in the eating.

RWC 2019 Final: England v South Africa

Well done Bokke. Won’t ever forget England performance in this RWC. Superb stuff Japan. My main memory though will be the referees. Not a positive memory.

RWC 2019 Final: England v South Africa

Saffer set piece is eating up England.

    Wallaby Coach Conga Line

It could actually be a learning experience leading to much better coaching that could not have been achieved any other way.

    RWC 2019 SF1: New Zealand v England

Wam, I think your interpretation is right, just not here at the rugby where AFAIK it is a challenge.

    RWC 2019 SF1: New Zealand v England

No. After would be a nonsense. Challenge (and response) up front.

    Michael Cheika

It's not at all silly money for the WBs coach. Whether Cheika was worth it is another matter entirely.

The Haka? Is it performed too often

This is a rugby site, strangely enough.

The Haka? Is it performed too often

The haka is part of our culture, rugby culture. Talk about biting your nose to spite your face. I am no Kiwi apologist, but the haka enhances the rugby experience. The TV at my place gets cranked up for the haka. Please, please do nothing to detract from this wonderful experience.
