With a determined 1st post. Yeah, nah. I don't think so.

    Weather looks a tad ominous.

Pincus played a bit of NRC too, in Sydney if I remember correctly.

Hi Woldog. I sense your frustration. For me I would share it if it looked like the results were poor. But I don't think they are. How Zander has come on with his opportunity seems to me something we should be shining a light on. It is frankly impressive.

The Force debacle aside, we like to consider ourselves a national game. These two statements seem contradictory.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Weren't the Sharks getting close to 30,000? Blew my brain but is claimed.

I'm liking Kayo but it has hardly been flawless. Most likely my issue is my own connection - we dont have NBN and 5g is not available. Still, hardly flawless.

Agree, but I've started taking a contrary "attitude". I see us working the kicking and exit strategy. I don't see this anywhere near Super leading quality, but it is improving and actually getting quite workmanlike. We got worked over at altitude, and with a very good kicker at the Jags. I'm OK...

The Link comparison is somewhat optimistic, but hey we can hope. And I definitely agree that the "downside" of Thorn might compare with Mooney, not a bad downside, but likely to be somewhere between the two in 2020. He can go all the way, but might take as couple more years yet.

No. But I'm happy if your assessment differs. Hope Berry goes well Saturday.

I just re-watched the first half - a really solid performance (note as well that the ref performance was decent in that half). We need a blast of sense but we still should be feeling confident here. I'd like an improvement in the Line Out and maul defence, but any other area for improvement...

Look, I'm loving what JOC (James O'Connor) is doing at the Reds including at 10, but honest. If JOC (James O'Connor) is 10 there is either a very weird performance gestalt leap happening, or it is a sad state of affairs in Aus. You have to take one of the new guys with him/To'omua, surely.

Yeah not 30. But it could be a nice kick off to the home games. Have to take care though, Sun Wolves are a Barbarians team that is seriously able to punish. D needs to be flying and the attack physical and effective. Sunwolves are going to humiliate someone, let it not be the Reds first home game.

    Reds v Sunwolves, Rnd 4 2020, Suncorp Stadium Feb 22 19:15

Gee, I’m not sure I would have suggested that. For me his “biggest problem” would be balancing a desire to play everything at 110% with occasional need to be a little conservative. Thought he was doing OK at the back of the scrum.

I see a pack focused on hit ups just a little wide of the ruck, making busts for go forward. Not entirely unlike Cheika attempted with the WBs. Backs also focused on 10-13 with outside picking up more or less on opportunity. Similarly there is effort in D on the ruck and reclaiming possession...

Agree with this but noting that the players don't just "come" but need to be built. Lucas needs to continue being given time and development. If not him, then roll in plan B, whatever it is it needs to continue. JOC (James O'Connor) is proving absolutely fantastic but he is not really a long term solution...

    Reds v Sunwolves, Rnd 4 2020, Suncorp Stadium Feb 22 19:15

Big scoring game I suspect. Reds are hitting their strides and I think that fans are entitled to anticipate a win. About bloody time and I know I know KNOCK ON WOOD. I’d like to see Lucas back starting 10 but plan for a relatively early revert to JOC (James O'Connor) - Stewart. Don’t mind Resting one or two of...

Yes we do. But hopefully the coaching team has the courage of it’s convictions for the win. Let’s say that the plan may have been to back of Wilson’s game time and perhaps to continue the development of Lucas at 10. Then do it. Don’t be shied of the 0-3.
