    Wallabies 2020

Thinking it through a bit more. We have a pretty settled 1-3 and 16-18. Our locks are not clear, with plenty in the mix, some not doing well across both halves. And we have a plethora of backrowers all looking very solid but hard to to pull together 6-8 and 20 that are convincingly the best...

    Wallabies 2020

Where did he play in R4? He was R2 23; R5: 15; R6: 15; R7 15. In each case he only gets the chance with DHP out because DHP: 15; Hodge: 13 is stronger than 13: ? 15: Hodge. It doesnt mean that Hodge is not the superior 15. What I said was: I'm sure you can make your point without the need...

    Wallabies 2020

HE got caught in a situation where the best positions for a team's overall strength were when he was out of position. It was sheeted home when he offered utility for the WBs. If he can settle at 15, and given his utility he is a lock for WBs at either 15 or 23. I dont think it was wasted time...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Dan I think you are right in terms of Twiggy creating and holding onto his options. It is the difference between a sports administrator and a very good businessman. He will do what it takes to protect his position even if that is apparently contrary options. Here in Aus I have said for a long...

Super Rugby AU Round 8 - Brumbies vs Waratahs @ Canberra Stadium - Saturday 22 August @ 7.15pm

Yes this seems to be the narrative. I still want 80 mins from him. I mean Tate's game in the core 9n duties is good to outstanding and he has all these other strengths. White already showed his devolution to the box kick to settle things - if he does that (again) for the WBs I'll be throwing...

In the mean time Hodge may be given the chance to settle into 15. If Maddocks wants it, and he is capable of taking it, he needs nose to the grind stone and arse in the air. And Campbell is building quietly in the background. I suspect DHP is yesterday's man.

Super Rugby AU Round 8 - Brumbies vs Waratahs @ Canberra Stadium - Saturday 22 August @ 7.15pm

I don't think I actually said this - thought I may have quoted someone who did. I don't see the need as a Reds fan to make that comparison between Force and Tahs, though I do have heaps of good will for the Force.

Super Rugby AU Team of the Week

Agree on the issues at 9 and 13. 10 becomes interesting if you put JOC (James O'Connor) at 12 where he played once Stewart was off.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Not so. At least not likely. He has a foot in both camps and well done. He is chasing an opportunity to keep good faith through the stronger elements that committed to GRR. Anyway the time line moves forward.

Super Rugby AU Round 8 - Brumbies vs Waratahs @ Canberra Stadium - Saturday 22 August @ 7.15pm

I'd agree that White needs to be in the 23 but I'm not ready to concede 9 yet. Tate is playing seriously well and I havent seen anything that suggests White can snipe or defend like Tate. White offers better/quicker passing from the ruck and stands out as a serious competitor, something that...

I thought that both Simmo and Hanigan had a great first half. Did not continue though.

    Wallabies 2020

White is still solid, but it's not the sort of game I like in a WB 9. Tate on the other hand? Good.
