    Waratahs v Highlanders, semi-final, Saturday 27 June

As of 2.00pm today, they still hadn't opened up the top tier of the Paddington side (I like bays 47 & 53 up there, decent view and dry)

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

That is how becoming a test player happens for most, it takes time

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

We couldn't put a side out if we used that as the rule, he is a bloody good unit who does a shed load of quality work, every week

South African Rugby - Proper Dinkum Ridgy Didge Broken

Yeah, for context here is a list of a few of their players playing overseas

    Waratahs v Highlanders, semi-final, Saturday 27 June

Yeah, it took a while for Foley adjust, usually he can attack the line because if he ends up in the ruck, Beale is there to bounce into the ball distributor's spot usually.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

I think that is as much the NRL's U20s program, it gets a lot of units into pro programs.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

The biggest weakness in Aus rugby is the transition from Schoolboys to pro rugby, the club programs for the most part aren't up to it

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Nah, a couple games show potential, consistency earns a Wallaby Jersey, both Vaea & Timani are not there yet

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

and yet they are as yet not near the quality of either Palu & Higgers (or McCalman who for some bizzarre reason is being ignored, he only misses the start of the RC), strength is a lovely attribute, but not enough on it's own

South African Rugby - Proper Dinkum Ridgy Didge Broken

IF the Boks struggle at the RWC, would they take a chance on a guy like Ackermann or circle the wagons and plan to bash and plod harder?

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

For the RWC Vaea has Palu, Higgers & McCalman in front of him. So about 10% chance at best, as he can't really be used as a utility back rower either (like Higgers & McCalman)

    Coaching Options for Qld Rugby

Both were deemed decent choices, but they didn't work out that way I actually like how some of the European football sides do it, they have director of football and a known style - how they want to play, they then pick the manager (and players) that will work within that style (and wage...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

It is about balance, they have two great jumping locks and a 6 just as effective. We can't have ineffective jumping lock = Skelton and Vaea starting in test rugby. The Tahs lineout weaknesses stem from being a jumper down - having Dennis & Pots with Palu & Skelton trying to be the third...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Very broadly, I see one winger (the blindside - for want of a better term) as a bigger, explosive unit who is used as a threat in close through traffic. (the Digby, Wendall, Lote etc (in the ABs Savea) solid and strong in traffic, able to punch over the advantage line. The other winger as...
