Scotland vs Australia - Murrayfield, 8 Nov 1:15AM AEDT

Decent shout BR! Didn't even think of Maddocks. Always thought he has the most potential as a fullback.

I don't think trying to get Perese to replicate Kerevi's crash ball at 12 is the answer. We probably need to adjust the game-plan away from a crash baller focus, anyway. Maybe re-focus on kicking more effectively. I noticed on the weekend that there was a lot of sterile possession in between...

It will be good to get some more game time into JOC (James O'Connor). I don't think he will be a huge step down from QC (Quade Cooper). Without Hodge, though, the backup 10 options are non-existant. Are we one injury to JOC (James O'Connor) away from seeing Beale at 10? Or am I forgetting someone?

Paisami broke through when he was a hard running 13. Started trying a few more things when he got pushed in. Should be easy enough for him to revert to hard running, right?

I spose on the bright side it gives others a chance and we can build 'depth'. Do they not fly in some replacements? There no longer travel restrictions outbound. Just send in one of the Reds looses and Lolesio.

Apparently RA unhappy that the players weren't upfront about it, as well.

I get where you are coming from and I am clearly in the minority. It just seems so absurd and uniquely 'rugby'. You see Ronaldo being leaned on not to play for Portugal because United are throwing a quarter of a billion at him and don't want him getting injured? No. You see Latrell getting...

It shouldn't ever be this dichotomy. Which is my point. Even in the most bloated, corrupt game in the world the decision is never one or the other. As a player you are always guaranteed to be able to play for both your country and your club - almost all of the time (some exceptions, such as...

    Wallabies 2021

Okay - and my point remains. It's a joke that if we want to we still can't select our best players. It seems somewhat less controversial and also irrelevant at the moment that we can opt to go back to not selecting international players. FWIW I think that's a pipe dream though. We can choose...

    Wallabies 2021

Why would we discuss pre-2021 when that isn't the situation? We opened up our selection policies to specifically include certain players who are still unable to play due to pressure from their club sides. This being a move which we were forced into to accommodate the trend of more players...

And at World Rugby's limp dick regulations - yes. I mean, shit, even FIFA can manage proper international windows and there's no arguing with the supremacy of the European club game in kickball.

    Wallabies 2021

Yes - categorically. Our performances have plummeted over the last five years and on this years evidence plenty of that can be attributed to unavailability of our best players.

I thought the RC was covered by reg 9?

Rugby - forever finding a way to disappoint.

I feel like I've missed something here. How can McMahon and Kerevi be out of the tour? It's an international test window. The only thing stopping them being selected before were our own selection policies? I get that Rennie was trying to engender a positive relationship with the clubs - but it...

Australian Bid for 2027 World Cup

Your friend sounds like he is full of shit. I was there for it and it seemed pretty damn big to me.

Our ruck security was fucking shite.

Japan are definitely on the way up. High time they come into the championship if they want it. We played pretty average I thought. No stand outs.

Gotta be worst performance of the year.

Fuck sake Rennie. Tell them to cut out the fucking cut outs.
