Super Rugby AU - Semi Final - Reds v Reb

So just go with the flow. BTW Reds haven't been here for some time either.

Super Rugby AU - Semi Final - Reds v Reb

Yep. I would have thought the Rebels will be seriously up for this. On fire even. I'll stick with the Reds for sure, but you Rebels fans should be getting more enthusiastic. Huge opportunity for both teams. Knock out rugby. Serious shit. Only the serious should apply.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

That doesnt work for so many reasons. Start with 5 teams 5 states. And a need for two teams. AND we need the best talent from 5 states in those two teams.

Super Rugby AU Team of the Week

Agree with that in general, BR. Orr I agree with (he has made my TOTW in the past not this week). I also felt that Hoopert should not be ignored. Lee-Warner was good and I am starting to watch him. But the loose forwards is such a hard group to crack. Didn't get there for me, but I'm happy with...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

I have said all along that Force would keep their options open and make the choice that best suits them. We are fortunate in that those odds are well stacked in the favour of an Aus competition, as long as that comp is better than half-arsed. RA need to have their thinking caps on here, ball...

    Wallabies 2020

My problem with this is the Harlem Globetrotter thing. These games will enhance perceptions of the bling where defensive capabilities are in some ways more important.

    Wallabies 2020

We can probably help firm some of it up too. I have suggested previously that both teams be coached from elements of the WB coaching team, ideally following the same sort of strategies and set up that the WBs have in mind. At least get the development of combinations underway (where they are...

    Wallabies 2020

Thinking this through, it weakens SOU as a Wallaby selection vehicle.

    Wallabies 2020

It is not the point you did make though. I have little interest in Kiwi domestic rugby, anymore than I have in European domestic rugby. As it turns out I did turn on some of the North v South game and agree with Uptheguts "Harlem globetrotter" comment. That style of game will not translate to...

Sendit, read the second half mate.

    Wallabies 2020

This. D was not high on the agenda in that match. Lot's of bling but throw a NH Irish or English style game at them and then the North v South showed little about how they would fare. If you watch the Reds improvement in defence, knock it up a notch or two, transfer to the WBs then just look...

    Wallabies 2020

It's strange as LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) does not have the lateral dynamics I would expect in a 6. I guess it's how you want to play the position. He is a 4 for me.

    Reds 2020

Christ. Ready and Tuttle went off the rails? After YEARS of the Reds being so far off the rails it was ridiculous. Then Thorn hard man turns up. Look, I know they could have done better, but honestly, in some ways they have been our greatest servants. Wish them the best.

Super Rugby Rnd 10: Reds v Brumbies 5 Sept

Running over the stats I was surprised at just how many missed tackles the Reds had in the tight 5. There is clearly a system here with back up. I'm not sure what is going on but it sure as hell is working.

    Wallabies 2020

Just reading the stats Slim. Samu is OK as an option if you have 3 good jumpers ahead of him. Lia, can be one of those 3 good jumpers.

    Wallabies 2020

For what it's worth from last night I have Wright with 5 line out wins; Samu with 1 win and 1 loss. It's one game only but gels with my thoughts on their jumping prowess. IE it adds to Wright's qualifications not so much for Samu.

    Wallabies 2020

Yep. And not enough from DHP to suggest he fits the picture. Hodge for me.

    Wallabies 2020

This is my answer. Though I suspect it will be Maddocks or DHP.
  20. dru

    Wallabies 2020

It's not popular but I still like Hodge at 15. I guess DHP will take it. Jock Campbell is super awesome way better than many realise. But don't think he'll make the squad let alone the 23. This year. Watch this space.
