Reds vs Waratahs - 29th April RD 10

Hmmm - not withstanding NSWs problems, QLD were horrendous against the Brumbies only 3 weeks ago. They were better against the Kings, but far from convincing. I hope everyone is right and they turn it on, but I am kinda stuck on why anyone would be confident that will be the case.

Reds vs Waratahs - 29th April RD 10

Don't mind that team. Biggest question for mine will be who starts with Simmons in the row. But with Rodda just coming back from injury Douglas is probably most likely.

That doesn't at all make his statement incorrect. The old school brigade picks favourites. That doesn't mean some that miss out don't also come from similiar backgrounds.

Unfortunately that is not an ailment that is exclusive to the NSWRU/Waratahs.

Haha - yeah, I actually misread your previous comment and I thought you were being serious. Bit slow on the uptake.

    Reds 2017

There is a significant difference between what is going on with the decision over the number of Australian Super teams and a potential decision to pay out the contract of an individual player.

Maybe so - but where will the cash come from.

    Force v Chiefs - Round 8 2017

Yeah - agree with the first part of your post. With regards to the second part - I'm just going to leave that except to say the point of my post was that it was, in fact, obstruction and that every group of supporters has a certain vocal number who think the refs are out to get them.

    Force v Chiefs - Round 8 2017

From my view he was right though. Cruden deliberately runs to the left of Retallick, then steps back and runs past him on the right. A defender is impeded by Retallick. There is a coaching series on YouTube where Rennie & Jamie Joseph are coaching in the US, where Dave Rennie talks specifically...

I agree with all of that - but do you think he could do a similiar job on the wing? Modern (Australian?) rugby players and coaches still seem to have an aversion to putting their best players on the wing. I'm not necessarily saying Izzy is our best at the moment but he certainly has a higher...

    Rnd 8: Reds v Kings

It happens 100 times a game, by every team. If they start penalising it every time I am fine with that, but ever team does it and since it is not being penalised every team will continue doing it.

    Rnd 8: Reds v Kings

Stiles said he was a bit underdone fitness wise, but that the injury was fine and it was only cramping that bought him off. I was very impressed with Mafi in the one half of footy I've seen him play. Hopefully he can go on from there. The post game conference from Stiles was interesting. I...

    Rnd 8: Reds v Kings

I'm happy to take the win, and I'm happy that we are showing a clear intent to move to a more dynamic, attacking game style. I don't dismiss any of the criticisms of the decision making or the execution, but if we don't have an intent to attack we'll never get better at it. I would say that I...

    Round 7: Hurricanes v Waratahs - Friday 5:30pm

Hooper may not be a strong over the ball as some - but that is not his primary role (something which upsets a lot of people). He can and does win turnovers, but where Pocock often positioned himself to be second into the tackle, Hooper looks to tackle and counter ruck. Australia really...

    Round 7: Hurricanes v Waratahs - Friday 5:30pm

Who would you have at 7 in front of Hooper Scrub? Yesterday may not have been his best game, but he is one person in a team that is struggling and, IMO the biggest issue is Latu is the only other forward performing anywhere near the level required. True - Hooper is not an 'on the ball' 7 in the...

Are they? Maybe they were earlier, and they may yet finish better - but I reckon the Saders are struggling a bit with the Tahs energy.
