    Refereeing decisions

The issue for me is that the intent is irrelevant. It's entirely outcome dependent. If a player goes flying in with a leading shoulder, his arm tucked in with the intention of literally murdering an opposition player and just clean misses it's basically no sanction, right? Where-as Valetini...

    Wallabies 2023

I find it hard to seperate the Wallabies under Rennie from the Wallabies under Cheika. Win rate about the same. I think tactically they are a little more flexible but they certainly seem to be as inconsistent. And they still have way too many dumb plays in them. The main thing Rennie seems...

I think its plateaud in NZ -perhaps even trending downwards. I'm not really convinced it's this boom sport in other countries. It's still niche in every country it's played pretty much.

Hometown reffing all over the bloody place.

    Refereeing decisions

I thought WR (World Rugby)'s slap on the wrist for Rassie probably opened the door for Rennie. The cynic in me thinks that if you can get away with influencing the referee via media you'd be a fool not to.

Presumably any move like this would just be scuppered by the north?

The yellow card for the swinging arm to the back of a prone players head is the most egregious error made by the officiating team.

I agree. We should learn to accept a margin of error. Not sure that's possible, though.

    Refereeing decisions

It is fine that they miss stuff, which makes the TMO incongruous. Seeking perfected decision making in only select moments. One standard for the majority of the game then another when a try is scored. Think how many more tries and how much more exciting it would be if they didn't scrutinise...

Absolutely. Which makes the non red call for the swinging arm all the more ludicrous.

Yeah he said it in his post match. He'll be in trouble for it. Must have been genuinely fuming to do it, particularly for a guy who is generally pretty reserved and sanguine about outcomes of a match.

We'll drop back down post 6N though.

    Wallabies 2023

I reckon with Kerevi and Quade we go 2/3 in that tour. Very disappointing indeed.

What was Wright even trying to do for that knock on try?

North won't vote for it. Stodgy, change resistant scum that they are.

How many high tackle cards have we conceded? I think that's something we really need to address.
