    Western Force 2013

The problem is if Pocock's leaving is not a catalyst for the change. Often people in power do not realise that they are the ones responsible. I have seen this numerous times in my professional career (and it's worse in some cultures), even when it is staring them in the face. It really...

    Wallabies 2012 Championship Squad

I have no issues with lots of props being included in training squads. You want opposed live scrummaging, so you need at least 2 full front rows, preferably a couple more as you don't want to stop if one or two players go down with a niggle.

    Waratahs 2013

Well, both played for the U20s in 2011 (neither particularly well), and both are with Southern Districts. Saifoloi is the flyhalf, Volavola the fullback.

    Waratahs 2013

He was awful for the U20s, but that's not something to hold against a player I think. Sadly there's been a few good players who have been poor for the U20s.

    How long will Quade get?

I thought Elstadt was suspended earlier in the season for a high shot. But yes, his suspension for three yellows would've been taken into consideration by SANZAR. Every suspension is.

    QF1 2012 - Reds vs Sharks

Well done on selectively quoting me. Maybe you could have read the other posts where I congratulated the Sharks and said they were the better team. A word of warning: if you are just here to troll, you will not be here long, especially with that user name. You might want to contribute a little...

    QF1 2012 - Reds vs Sharks

Found it. No more off topic sorry. Ayoub was the NSW ref rugby manager in the early 2000s.

    QF1 2012 - Reds vs Sharks

My bad think you are right! I was told a few years ago it was Ayoub by a friend. Seems Ayoub was the first pro ref but didn't hold a more official position.

    QF1 2012 - Reds vs Sharks

He played a couple games at full back and a game or so at halfback. Can't be easy switching specialist positions like that. And he has been coming off the bench for the Reds onto the wing mainly.

    QF1 2012 - Reds vs Sharks

Crap, my bad. You are right, but it wasnt a NSWRU hack. Almost certain that it was George Ayoub, not Matt Goddard! Both weren't very good refs though. We just haven't produced good refs like NZ and SA have.

    QF1 2012 - Reds vs Sharks

Sadly, can't see the Sharks winning from here due to travel. If they beat the Stormers, then they have to travel to NZ the following week. Just can't see any team coping with that amount of travel. Best of luck to them though. Their offloading tonight was sublime.

    QF1 2012 - Reds vs Sharks

If that was the case then it was a blatant penalty to the Reds for Bismarck having a knee on the ground and the other player not releasing. If the ball was over the line I don't think that Gill actually needs to be on his feet.

    QF1 2012 - Reds vs Sharks

Link refused to be drawn into complaining about the ref after a leading question from Kafer. Link also defending his Frisby decision, saying that's how they trained all year and that Harris was struggling with a head knock so I assume he didn't want to push him to 10. Still think he got that...

    QF1 2012 - Reds vs Sharks

Yup, Reds were toast no matter on the Gill no try decision and lack of yellow. The Sharks beat them in the first 25, with two great tries and Lucas off injured.

    QF1 2012 - Reds vs Sharks

Goddard was an awful ref, he had quite a few shockers. Goddard was also head of the refs association when he was reffing, a huge conflict of interest. Goddard used award himself the Sydney club final each year, no matter how bad or (rarely) good he was reffing.

    QF1 2012 - Reds vs Sharks

Replay of the Gill no try. Digby tackle, Bismarck all over him with a knee on the ground for a blatant penalty, Digby holds on. Should've been blown up there. Bismarck drags Digby forward a bit and Gill rips it and dives over, no question on that part. How the Reds get a 5m scrum from any of...

    QF1 2012 - Reds vs Sharks

Sharks were definitely better. One of those nights were not much goes right for the Reds, with an injury to the fly half and no back, dropped balls, missed tackles and no luck from the ref and TMO. As Genia said, when you are on the front foot everything seems to go your way - bounce of the...

    QF1 2012 - Reds vs Sharks

Genia questions the TMO decision on Gill's try. Have to agree on that one too.

    QF1 2012 - Reds vs Sharks

Samo with a consolation. Sharks won that with their defence and offloading. Was fantastic the way they thre the ball around for their three tries and a couple of breaks besides. Deserved winners. Reds had one of those nights where not much stuck. Lots of dropped balls, no patience, and a...
