    Waratahs v Reds Match Thread

To be honest, I think alot of the criticism of TC was less to do with his playing and more to do with his love of hand bagging it up each week, quite often unnecessarily so.

Brumbies vs Reds, week 3 2011

Reds by less than 7, this week will have stung both teams into action hopefully, but the reds should be the better team.

    Waratahs v Reds Match Thread

I hope the Tah's can keep this frenetic pace up all season, other side's like the Bulls and Crusaders have been able to sustain it for a season/s so I don't see why the Tahs can't as well. Everyone was aware how much the Reds would miss Braid, so now Link needs to get it together, slap his...

Melbourne Rebels vs Brumbies match thread

Colby Fainga'a was great, only one who could find any space. I though Coleman was found out, the Prince of Queanbeyan title might be a bit premature. Gerrard was fantastic, he could really make the wallabies depending on what sort of game plan they take to the world cup. Beale is a magician...

    Deans contract extended

Aussie Bob was copping a hiding on here for persisting with JOC (James O'Connor) on the wing, espescially after his defensive mis read when McCaw prematurely unbound from the ruck and scored that try (at Sydney?). Alot of people were saying that JOC (James O'Connor) is class player but we need a proper wing in his place. I...

Surprise, surprise, the rules sort out some scrums

Take a bit of the weight out of the hit and scrum, make it easier for the Ref to actually see what's going on.

Surprise, surprise, the rules sort out some scrums

I don't mind the hit, but if scrums keep collapsing, the ref can't get it sorted and it is detracting from the game they should peel off the flankers and make them scrum with 6. Not ideal as it would close up the gaps in the backline, but it would at least be the fairest way of keeping the game...

    Waratahs v Reds Match Thread

Oh the fucking irony......Go back and read the Reds fans posts in the Force V Reds thread. I think it will be a close game, but I expect the Tahs to close it out by less than a converted try.

    2011 Rnd 1 Reds v Force

Gutsy from the boys, but they just don't know how to close out a game. JOC (James O'Connor) was excellent, our scrum went very well despite conceeding a few lotto penalties. Our backrow went as well or even better than predicted. Rocket Rod has a bit of balls about him this year, he was keen for the...

Someone call the Sharks and Cheetahs, they still think its 2009, kicking, kicking, kicking.

    Brumbies vs Chiefs - 2011R01

Steven Hoiles was good in the time he was on. Mark Chisolm consistently made .25 of a metre over the gain line each carry. Git's was OK, but Kafes gushing man love in the interview at the end was perhaps a bit premature. He has so far been the the second best 10 of all the Australian teams who...

    Rugby Club 2011

The truth is JP said things everyone else was thinking but wouldn't say on television. And having the guts to do that still didn't endear him to anyone as he was a smug prick the rest of the time. I enjoy Kearnsey's sense of humour, the man is dryyyyy. Another +1 for getting the foreign...

    2011 Rnd 1 Reds v Force

Back on topic..... Losing Ripia is a blow, but I am excited that JOC (James O'Connor) comes in closer to the action, he is the prodigal son and needs the exposure at 10/12 at this level (preferably 12). The only one I want out is Fairbanks, but the pickings are slim at the moment. As the highlanders showed...

    The 2011 Ladder!

Ouch.... The Force are yet to appear higher than 10th on anyones list, and sadly won't come much higher than that on mine. 1. Crusaders 2. Stormers 3. Tahs 4. Bulls 5. Hurricanes 6. Sharks 7. Reds 8. Force 9. Blues 10. Chiefs 11. Brumbies 12. Rebels 13. Lions 14. Highlanders 15...

    6 Nations 2011

It will be even better if he bombs a try doing in a world cup final. I though the poms looked really good, but how in the hell did the Italians keep giving them so much room one runner out from the ruck. They certainly helped the poms look good, but more ominously they took advantage of it.

    Western Force 2011

Sorry for the late reply, forgot this post. Because there is only one reason a footballer get's to the top, they are faster, stronger and/or more skillfull than the rest. In fact, as a society we have proven time and time again that we are willing to turn a blind eye to the misbehaviours as...

    Rugby article in the Economist

I don't disagree, but a part of me worries about the effect it would have on the culture of rugby. I love the softly spoken hard man approach modern rugby stars bring to the game. If rugby players became ego maniacs like the star culture in American sports seems to propogate, I would be...
