Top 10 Scrummaging Nations in the World

Lol. I qualify then. I meant not as dominant in the total destruction "shove your head up your arse" kind of way like we saw in June against England (I felt so sorry for Daley then that I felt obliged to start beating my Englsih mate next to me in retaliation). :) For the first hour I...

Springboks 2010 End Of Year Tour

There is the problem. Rumours are that there are two disctint points of view of how the Boks should play and that it was a particular issue last week. No surprise that we produce drivel on the park.

Top 10 Scrummaging Nations in the World

Yes. I think so. See my comments on the tests in SA where they were pretty average (to my great surprise). Steenkamp (SA's LH in the June and 3N tests, now injured) got hammered in the Leicester midweek game on the 2009 tour by Castro and got his own back. Benn Robonson also had no problems with...

Top 10 Scrummaging Nations in the World

Uhm, hang on. Smit played 2 this year and Beast did not play 3N at all. What year are you referring to? The Smit at TH experiment got dropped halfway theough last year's EOYT (thankfully), and a front row of Botha/Smit/Beast went on to hammer the Irish scrum. The Boks had the better of the...

Springboks 2010 End Of Year Tour

Hmmm. Whatever. I'm feeling stranglely calm about the circus. It's a feeling alien to me. One man only has that much swearing in him. We all hit the wall at some stage and I have hit mine.

ARU forms new Australian Super Club and Pacific Nations rugby tournament

Yeah apparently Firepower have designed a new fuel saving device. You drink it. :)

Springboks 2010 End Of Year Tour

I would actually start Flip vd Merwe before Bakkies. I think we miss Danie Rossouw, the only real alternative to Bakkies. Start Alberts at 6. About not creating out wide I don't think we can judge at all. The boks have not passed the ball to a wing all tour and no fullback has come into...

    France vs Wallabies, EOYT 2010

I thought that too and it surprised me because he has been in good form for his club. He just adds so much to the side I think they will start him. Chabal was a horses for courses selection because it's always an arm wrestle with the Argies.

Springboks 2010 End Of Year Tour

Yeah its perplexing but now it's caught up with the coaches though. Their low risk, win at all cost approach has spectacularly backfired. The forwards need to be super fired up to play the game we're best at and they were totally flat. What stand out most of all to me is the terrible decision...

"Commitment" being the operative. Our guys looked like they just wanted to get out of the rain.

Springboks 2010 End Of Year Tour

Yeah I hope this is the end of Kankowski. How may chances shoulf a guy get? He has underperformed in 18 test now. Enough. Alberts is the answer. The F Louw thing is baffling, although he had a poor 3N (especially in New Zealand). He did not play all tha well in the Currie Cup. I can...

    That was pretty scary looking.

Springboks 2010 End Of Year Tour

It wore out a long time ago. He was given some slack bu SARU. Word is that if he loses tow of the EOYT games he is gone. I don't believe it. It will be a miracle if he is fired.

We aren't even playing the style that usually works anywhere near properly and it's alread a questionable forumula... That's what pisses me off.

Springboks 2010 End Of Year Tour

We have the players (provided they are fit). I don't buy for a second that the same players who in the Super 14 excercised good judgment, varied their game plans and adapted to the new interpretations are suddenyl not good enough any more. Our guys are not backing themselves. They are...

Springboks 2010 End Of Year Tour

Words elude me. Why oh why keep kicking the thing away? South Africa tried again to play a kicking game with pressure but the kicking from Steyn, Steyn, Hougaard, Kirchner and Pienaar was terrible. England will feel they could fuck us over by 30 and rightly so. Thank god for fast...

A bad week for Aussie sport. Why we keep coming up short.

Small population and a hell of a lot of sport to play. Resources are getting spread thinner all the time (is that English?) Can't expect to always stay on top. Cricket - been in demise for some time now but not far off going up again. Netball - whatever. How's the marbles team going...
