Springboks 2010 End Of Year Tour

The best thing that could happen is Snor and his cronies spend a lot of time hanging around the Super 15 to learn how to attack under these laws. Oh and they will do well to convince John Smit it's time to retire.

Springboks 2010 End Of Year Tour

Fair enough Paarl. However, with all the posession we cannot score. And I think we are still going to be vulnerable when attacked out wide. The French looked like we did against the Australians thso year. For much the same reasons (only they were actually much worse that us). We weren't...

    World XV Redux

Youngs - definitely not after this weekend - he was poor. There wasnlt any real standout so I'd go with Cowan. Pretty mistake free al tour. Juan Smit and Kanoi, neck and neck. I'd pick Smit - simple reason is look at the difference in the Bok pack with him in it vs the 3N when he wasn't.

Mvovo, Aplon, Ndungane Jacobs, Lambie Jantjes, Hougaard Alberts, Smit, Daniel Hargreaves, Botha Oosthuizen, Strauss, vd Linder That gives everybody a go.

    France vs Wallabies, EOYT 2010

This game was a classic case of speed completely outdoing muscle. The Frogs picked a huge backline, thinking they can muscle through the Wallabies. They were made to look like amateurs. Rougerie must be the worst choice ever at 13 by a French coach and if Lievremont gets heat for this game he...

According to local papers Matfield played with a broken rib.

Backline a disaster. With that kind of ball the pack gave them they did nothing. We miss Jacques Fourie and of course Fdp. They would have done more with the pill.

Yeah having a hooker in physical condition makes a reall difference...ahem. The big difference is how much the Beast anf Jannie Doep have improved. Beast got dropped from the Boks for a very good Steenkamp and put in a mountain of work. It also helps that the front row scrummed together for...

Top 10 Scrummaging Nations in the World

So back on topic, I was surprised at how the Boks scrum dealt with the Pom scrum and even dominated at times. Not sure of the exact number but the Boks seemed to get the bulk of the penalties and a couple of turnovers. We still need to see the Frogs and the Poms in the 6N but as a Saffer...

    Scrum Talk

What is the chances of Al getting the recall if he has a big season with the Tahs? I'd say it's pretty good now?

    Giteau Spitting Dummy again???

I agree it's the knuckle dragging Weidler but how the fuck does one "want out" of your International team? The only way to "get out" is to retire. If it is true, then Giteau must retire. That will "let him out".

The unfortunate reality of this victory is that Piet will keep his job.

Springboks 2010 End Of Year Tour

We attempted about 50. None worked. As per an earlier post, yes we miss FdP and Fourie - they are the brains of the backline. However, the real problem is the coaching. Dick Muir has been left wanting. There simply was no structure and when there is no structure player try to make something...

Peter Fitzsimmons finally is graced by the presence of GaGR

So finally Fitzimmons says something backed up by fact. Whaddayaknow.

Springboks 2010 End Of Year Tour

They are not going top lose this game because of feet and planes, but rather for practical reasons. Game plan, lack of backline penetration, bad kicking (again) and a resurgent England side is why they will lose.

    Greg Inglis?

Agreed, can't see him hitting rucks and turning around working in defense. He is great when he runs onto a pass with a but of space. Not sure of much else though. Terrible attitude. Nice joke to play on the frogs though. Off you go son.

You know what? I just read his post again. I would have offered to buy but he makes reference to bashyourgirlfriendandfuckyourmatesdogball in the post so that kind of cancels out the post, wouldn't you say? But I'll buy you one anyway Mr Hugh ;)

Definitely. Cole is the problem child. Not manu LH props seem to know whatto do with him. Once he splinters the bind between 1 and 2, the oppo 3 gets nailed as well. He is a monster. Couple of weeks ago in a Top 14 game the commentator spoke about Hayman as "arguably the best 3 in the world."...
