    The Rugby Club, PdV, Canno

John Smit spoke very well. He may not be in very good form on the field and has copped flack for that but this interview was a very good reminder of what a great ambasadour he is for the game. Personally I think PDV is an idiot but who are we to criticize When we have had big mouthed idiots...

    Referees

What are the conditions like in a sense that how long do referees stay away from home at a time? Alot of players retire due to family reasons. It is a bloody good idea and on a local scale it has worked bloody well in club rugby.

    The 20/20 Rugby Saga

I am suprised he found time to fit it in amongst all his Tony Abbott campaining.

Suncorp Stadium: Why Is It So?

Quick get this poor soul some QUADES.

Suncorp Stadium: Why Is It So?

That is part of the problem with Rugby in Australia. Too many self interests impeding the growth of the game. What about those people who have to come from the other side of Homebush in the Western Suburbs? Is that not the growth area? How would they go traveling into the SFS?

Suncorp Stadium: Why Is It So?

Somebody really stuffed up when they redeveloped Stadium Australia after the Olympics. Western Sydney AFL was not on the radar and cricket is too traditionally based to ever move games away from the SCG. Union does not even come close to having the support to generate change but League most...

    LOCKED: Time to Sack Deans?

I completely agree with what you and Scotty have been saying. When fully fit, the payers I see us building a team around are TPN, Robinson, Horwill, Pockock, Genia. Key backs include Cooper, AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper), Barnes and Digby.

    LOCKED: Time to Sack Deans?

Fainga'a is too small so you will take Frier instead. Did you not contradict yourself? As for Anthony, you're not Jeremy Paul in disguise are you?

    LOCKED: Time to Sack Deans?

Over all this is a very uncouragous team selection by Deans and co. Sounds like Justin Beaver is only keeping Digby's jersey warm this week. Hope Deans works a miricle and actually uses his bench as we need to see how Simmons goes. The non selection of Higgers baffles me. Brown is like...

Suncorp Stadium: Why Is It So?

It is a brisbane thing. Brisbane people love their sport in general. All the codes draw big crowds and they know how to create an atmosphere. Other rugby crowds attend in a manner as if they were attending a funeral.

    Talent wasted in mungo ball

I belive we may be looking towards the wrong code if we want to convert talant. You could make a good back rower out of an aussie rules player. Speed, good enduring airobic fitness, good hands in the air, good agillity on their feet and a better understanding of playing a football on the...

    Wallabies v Springboks, Brisbane.

Bring in de Jongh on merit. But it has to be said that it would also satisfy the quota, thus allowing them to get rid of pie eater and bring in a better scrum half. Whoops, this is not the week to be offering them help. Please keep pie eater so Genia can completely out class him. That's...

    All Blacks vs Springboks, Wellington

That try from Dagg was nothing short of brilliant. If Carters kicking was on the mark, that scoreline would of been far more brutal.

    All Blacks vs Springboks, Wellington

Bokke decision making was very poor at times.

    Reds 2011

I agree with all of the above DPK but can I add that a big scare that it was time for him to grow up, mature and be a man was the catalyst. All that raw talant now has a brain behind it. How he has played so well with all the distractions in the background is what has amaized me.

    Robbie Deans Report Card

Daz, I have no problem with Qantas as our sponsor. What I have a problem with is that the focus has shifted away from the wallabies being our national team. You sight cricket as an example and it is a good one as they promote and cherish that baggy green as a national icon. I wish the Wallaby...

    Robbie Deans Report Card

The jersey has been cheepend for some time now. That is the problem and it extends way back before Robbies tenure. John O'Neil is the problem here. It started with the league converts. That is when the Wallaby jersey started to be handed out on the size of your pay check and not your form...

    Wallabies Tri Nations

DPK I agree. It is fair to say that was thebest piece of HR that Robbie has shown as Wallabies coach. That entire spring tour last year was a succession plan.

I guess that is the challenge for him now. Don't undo your good work Quade.
