    Round 5 : Reds v Force, Suncorp Stadium, 20 March 6.45

Agree that Stewart offers something. It just is not passing in 2021. Presumably he is doing a different role, but whatever it is it its not guiding backline play. Think I have the following right: Stewart passes: v Waratahs - nil v Rebels - 3 not on for Brumbies, when plenty of tries were...

    Round 5 : Reds v Force, Suncorp Stadium, 20 March 6.45

Stewart basically has not passed a ball all season. How does that help backline play?

    Where to for Super Rugby?

And there is the question. If they can't fund themselves, Aus is not capable of doing it either at the moment. There opportunity seems to have just shrunk. Really? AUs rugby has rarely been at such a low to that where we have been driven by Super and poor management. Focus on survival, then...

Can only agree with this. It is perplexing.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Sure. As long as it is not diverting Aus funds from Aus teams. Then that would be fabulous.

    In the scrum, yes absolutely.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

I'm completely onboard for and end of season between domestic and international for a TT. Enthusiastic even. RA, just don't take away our domestic comp.

    Because the name is wrong?

    Reds 2021

Though I did think they looked a little enervated last week. Especially Tupou. You're right though, it has not been a heavy workload.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Bottom line on all of this is that NZR have shown nothing in the last 12-18 months to suggest they are a trusted friend, and PLENTY to suggest we should be highly suspicious of anything they put forward. Can not be trusted. We should completely go it alone, other than a cross over - where...

Anstee shows promise. Like the thinking.

    Wallabies 2021

I didn't say Slim's position wasn't reasonable, just boringly predictable. Valetini will be 6 on current form. This does not have to excite me. And yes it worries me.

    Wallabies 2021

Like clockwork. And little point talking as little common ground is likely. But of course you are not on your own. And that deserves a response. I am not convinced that any 6 has seriously put his hand up. I see plenty of them at a similar level albeit Valetini ahead. I'm not convinced right...

    Wallabies 2021

Yep, completely. The claim that Valetini is the form 6, to me, is not so much untrue, more that it is worrying. Given the strength in our back row options it is also strange. Hard to argue it isn't Valetini at this point, as much as I don't like it.

    Wallabies 2021

Yes it was, almost as good as 10: Cooper; 12: To'omua for the very short period that was tested. Not as good though. You may be right about Rennie, we will see soon enough. I also agree that both JOC (James O'Connor) and To'omua can be trusted to run through to the RWC. And I agree completely on their form. It is...

Super Rugby Rnd 6: Waratahs v Reds

What was the go when Hegarty came on for Paisami? A broadcast is often not great for being able to view the whole back line to see the shuffle and it left me utterly baffled. I think saying Hegarty and Stewart add little is harsh. They both have plenty to contribute. Whether it is enough to...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

It is a pipe dream to think that the Super Au teams will match the overall standard of the the Super Ao teams in anything other than the medium to long term. And that would be pre-supposing that an effective plan was put in place. Which in turn would entail that the Aussie teams are NOT...

    Wallabies 2021

I don't see either as our best 12, right now, let alone as the other 12s develop toward the RWC. In terms of 10, I think it is too important a position to allow a hiatus to develop where the next guy has been ignored for years. Both JOC (James O'Connor) and To'omua will fade away much at the same time - unless...

Super Rugby Rnd 6: Waratahs v Reds

I've been thinking Tupou needs his workload eased. Could they start Smith with Nonggorr on the bench? Has to be a coach call as few us have a clue as to training form. Yes to Daugunu. Might swap the 9s. Definitely start Uru, though not for LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) who also needs time. I would have made Uru start...
