Super Rugby RD 7 - Waratahs v Brumbies

Awesome work Waratahs. Definitely the better team. Which means, like the Reds, you have to take your hat off to a Brumbies team winning when they are ugly. White was great as usual, but I'll give that contest to Gordon. Harrison over Lolesio and Perese better than his opposite. Waratah pigs...

    Reds 2021

Also, I needed to go back and remember things. Are re-build didn't really start until Thorn took the reins. There were plenty of false starts across many, many years before that. Thorn much more relied on building from the young players who came through the system with him. Might have...

    Refereeing decisions

Could the experts run over the Waratah non-engagement of the Brumby maul last night? This much I understand. With non-engagement, the "maul" (proto-maul?) is OK as long as the ball is retained by the front player. Then after the front player has been contacted they can move it back and in so...

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

You do have the chance to go back over the games from replay. I have really enjoyed the QPR stream in the last couple of years. May even pick an SRU team and follow them along side the Tigers. [Pirates probably.]

    Wallabies 2021

Hooper will be getting older, but my guess would be that he might lose a little speed but he will always be an 80+ min player. That would give someone like McReight bench time - where exposure was intentionally being offered by the coaching team. Generally they will want a back up 6/8 on the...

    Reds 2021

Interesting that with such a rebuilding team that we were still invested in big names in their twilight. Or more accurately experienced bodies to lead the show. Moore, Simmons, Douglas, Smith, Higginbotham. Something that Waratahs might want to note and that we should respect wrt Force.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Well that's me done. Had my money on the answer being the imaginary number i [square root of -1] 42 hey? Seem to have heard it all before.

    Waratahs 2021

Not even slightly. Well maybe not simply scroll on but yes I scanned rather than read. But if the same thrust came from A qPR supporter on the Reds thread I'd be into the minute detail without a doubt. Keep it up mate. It's the sort of stuff that makes G@GR.

I was going to add Hooper but I decided not to push it. Could not agree more all the same.

    Australian Rugby / RA

One of the most important articles written at the time, and probably still is. Serious wake up call.

    Ditto Hunt.

Super Rugby Rnd 7: Rebels v Reds

TOTW at the halfway point nominated To'omua. JOC (James O'Connor) and To'omua are our current form best 10s. Looking to the best promise I'd actually lean on Harrison, but the guy likely to reach places in the WB squad at the moment would be Lolesio. I don't place Lolesio ahead of either JOC (James O'Connor) or To'omua. Right...

Super Rugby Rnd 7: Rebels v Reds

Rubbish. I don't mind him at 12 but he is easily one of Australia's best 10s. Probably THE best 10.

Broncos lost me at that point and I never returned.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

The natural population growth in Australia is negative, isn't it? That growth pretty much relies on migration and COVID has slowed that heaps.

    Reds 2021

Stewart's go to strength that sets him apart for a back is his jackle and ruck work. 15 would not give him the chance to use his greatest asset. I don't mind the idea of 13 as they don't seem to want to use his second playmaker ability anymore.

Super Rugby RD 7 - Waratahs v Brumbies

Sure, but coming in to the Waratahs job would be negotiated with everything on his side. We've seen how that works before when he took over from Linc. If Cheika is not interested in simply a short term single season gig, it won't happen that way.

Super Rugby RD 7 - Waratahs v Brumbies

    Might not suit Cheika.

    That would be my call.

    Reds 2021

Yep, that it the one with plenty of interest. More than that though, and I'm not claiming any kind of problem, but I remain bewildered as the backline bench exchange happens. Really have not been able to keep up with the (change) in positions. Probably easier to fathom there live.
