    Waratahs V Highlanders 2011R17

Maybe i'm oversimplifying it, but studying at Cambridge is something that notionally can be done as a 40 year old, playing at lock for the Wallabies is not.

Crusaders vs Blues: MATCH THREAD: Timaru - 2011R17

I've heard that not even their mother knows.

Vickerman won't be at the world cup either. With able loyal servants like Sharpe and Horwill, why would you pick a guy who pissed off in his prime to study FFS. For an apparently clever bloke, it's a shame he wasn't clever enough to figure out that there is a long boring working life after a...

    Waratahs V Highlanders 2011R17

After watching that I had a thought. Tom Carter has really cleaned up his handbagging crap this year, and now he scores a double.

Phew, Back only. Looked like he was doing his head knock rag doll style run again.

That's heartbreaking for Barnes. He won't be at the worldcup.

Yeah, Apologies. I was grossly over generalising. Kutley Beale for PM. Why he would want the 10 Jersey at the rebels is beyond me, he is made for 15.

What's the saying? Queenslanders are Queenslanders first and Australian's second.

Crusaders vs Blues: MATCH THREAD: Timaru - 2011R17

I could agree that the Blues had the upper hand, but your failing to take into account the self belief the Saders have in themselves. That is no accident and deserves respect too.

Come on the Tahs. Looking forward to this one (just have to figure out a way to bleep out Kearnsey's steadily deteriorating commentary).

Glen Jackson - Rebels vs Brumbies

Yep, only 3 penalties in the first half. Not sure what the final count was, but barely noticed him and the game flowed. Surely the highest compliments a ref can receive.

    Halftime Breaks extending

Off-side is definately 3 points. Considering how much it is penalised, if you reduced the penalty the teams would never bother to get on side.

Some shocking finishing putting a damper what should be the game of the round.

Brumbies vs Rebels, Canberra - 2011R17

Cooper Vuna might be exciting in attack, but when a Tyrone Smith step fools you to that extent you really have defensive problems.

That is a terrible Jersey clash.

No more thrashings in NZ Jnr Rugby

This is a symptom of having the ages split by two years. I remember playing sports where you have four teams of 11 years old in the same pool with 4 teams of 12 year olds, both playing under 13s. The 12 year olds whip the 11 year olds then next year they jump up above U13s, leaving the previous...

    The Death of the Props

They can call them props or what ever they like, but when your hooker is your scrum half you might as well name each position after mythical beings.

    Western Force vs Reds, 2011R17

I have mixed feeling on this game. If the Reds can come out and play like a team who are going to win the comp, I wouldn't be devastated to lose. I doubt I will be feeling as charitable while the game is on, but it might soften the blow if we do lose.

    Western Force vs Reds, 2011R17

I just read the lineup and was about to lose my shit at Woody, until I read the article. As long as JOC (James O'Connor) is used closer to the action in attack I can live with it. How about Paddy Dellit? He must still be piching himself. From club rugby to S15 starter in 6 weeks and holding Inman on the...
