QH. the kids had a ball and George Smith had his little one down there running around in the opposition. Ah the 8 oclock start

I'd prefer to say there is a heap of room for improvement just in case we come up against him frequently. Ed, and his pack showed incredible patience. Looking forward to your quality match review contributions.

    3rds Manly 24 - 10 only caught the last 15min though Colts Manly 69 - 7 a bit of commentary above.

Cheers, Andrew Lees; I've seen him ref some quality games prior so was puzzled. The 10 minutes on Gordon's line was like an U6 ref trying to balance out the game. Look forward to your Pacific Islands day.

    Shute Shield 2013

Plenty of fringing and off side yesterday, but you guys played hard and to the ref for the full 80 - well done. UTS Drummoyne, and UTS Gordon should speak - both clubs with heaps of history - don't know just an idea

. With only one game being played at the village made the drive to Chatswood. 1s & 2s were very similar games and didn't flow like the usual Manly game - wet track, first game, ref, and a Gordon team that played hard and got away with spoiling. 2s - Dan Alley, Max Wood, & Damian Reti had...

We took the 5 points. Detroying the Gordon scrum for 10 minutes on their line without a penalty try best summed up the refs performance for the whole game. Not taking away anything from Gordon they played hard or the full 80.

    Shute Shield 2013

Gordon's scrum was destroyed for 10 minutes, the fact there was no penalty try sums up the ref or the whole match. The ref didn't know what the gate was, numerous times Gordon players should have been binned for slowing the play at rucks.

FINALLY, as much as we are all allowed to hate uni, instead of complaining why it's unfair - clubs are now looking at best practice. This is what will build the Shute into the 3T that it deserves to be, and if you look at Uni and the teams hot on their heels it could develop without the help...

Thanks HJ, keep us under the radar. Because of your fantastic efforts with Grass Roots we can let that slide. Up the Marlins

The season is here, get down to the local games with your kids and build the grass roots. This is our 3rd Tier lets build it. Away game vs Gordon, Chatswood Oval, 3pm, 6th April “Be wary of a wounded dog,” commented MMMs coach Tim Lane at the season launch last night (Thurs), Manly Bowling...

    Lions Tour 2013

As you did, a very good example of the impact a good coach can have on a game. It is the players that run out, and need to play at the required standard - but it is the coach that sets the plan.

    Shute Shield 2013

With the 2013 Shute Shield or the 3rd Tier comp starting this week, would it raise the profile a bit more if each club had it's own thread? Uni 2013. Marlins 2013. 2 Blues 2013. Etc. They used it for Match Previews / Reviews special effents and we can all join in the banter, and maybe raise...

Some awesome players listed there, you left out Rod McQueen. The coach enabled the talent through game plans. If Dingo coached that team would it have been as good, Roff, and Burke would never have seen the ball

Taps and Lilo would be my 12s, the next in line is along way back. A prop can stand out by destroying a scrum. A 7 can stand out by his pilfering. Scrum half your weaknesses are easily identifiable. I think positions such as 12 don't allow players to stand out with individual brilliance, it is...

THats sensible, I am not taking anything from Hooper or Gill they are playing excellent rugby. But seriously Smith bring what they both have and alot more. By having Smith involved Pockock, Gill, & Hoops will all benifit - he has the skill sets of all three of them and that can not be denied.
