    Coaching the coaches

Not disagreeing with you, or saying what they're doing is currently working, but the ARU have a fair bit of info up on the level 3 and level 4 coaching certs which include quite a bit of what youre talking about here http://www.aru.com.au/coaching/CoachingResources/Level3PastPapers.aspx Sent...

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Interesting article re the ALeague's current financial issues, brought on because they couldn't get the broadcast deal they forecast Worth a read for those coming up with their own domestic rugby comp...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Can you really pay a full time wage to guys playing 4 or 8 games a year? NRC would have to get a lot more popular to take up the slack Sent from my D5833 using Tapatalk

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Using the ALeague as a model - even after the relative success that the competition has had over the last decade the salary cap is $2.6m for far more games and fewer players that a rugby comp would need to support. Average salary probably halves (?) for a domestic comp Sent from my D5833 using...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Tahs spent $20m in total the year they won the comp - plus another couple of million in topups for ARU players if you want to include those costs too. Sent from my D5833 using Tapatalk

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Distribution of salary caps would make Australia's teams more equitable but probably reduces our chances collectively of winning the competition. You'd never get the equivalent of Gregan, Larkham, Gits, Roff in the same backline along with the Wallabies in the pack More guys getting paid, but...

    Reds 2017

Quades basically stuck together with sticky tape these days, whereas Foley is one head knock away from retirement. Not sure how you want to categorise those but we probably need some other viable options too..... Sent from my D5833 using Tapatalk

    Rebels 2017

Pretty sure it is a 20 year agreement, just that the first 5 years have funding agreements in place and the next 3 extensions don't. You'd imagine there'd be some room for either party to get out in 2020

    Rebels v Reds, Sat 13 May @ 7:45pm

He gave away 3 penalties in the space of 2 minutes across half time. Two for blantant ruck offended and one for offside in the backline right in front of the posts. The Reds scored from the maul at about 38:00 to go 17:6 up. By 42:00 it was 17:12 almost directly because of Smith. The sort...

    Reds 2017

Fun stat. Since the Brumbies demolished the Reds in round 7, the try count is Reds - 19, Brumbies - 6

I feel like I'm watching a different channel to all of these other guys. That was good. More games like that in the future and the sport will be in a much better place

Terrible descision Went back and had a look. Definately wasn't higgers though he was named. Was nowhere near anyone. Ref may have meant Nabuli though that would have been a joke too Sent from my D5833 using Tapatalk

Quality's not great but entertaining game once the scrums stopped Lots of dumb penalties from both sides, and if the Rebs had held on to one or two more passes could have been lots closer than it is Sent from my D5833 using Tapatalk
