    Waratahs 2015

Good for the Sydney Stars at least.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Assuming there's an extra place for a 5th prop, I think that you'll be taking 4 players into the squad who primarily play 6 and/or 8 at Test level, taking into consideration 6 backrowers and two opensides. Fardy and Palu are the incumbent starting pair, while McCalman is the logical 3rd. I...

    Goodbye Steve Walsh

Good to listen to. Quality ref, even better AR IMO. Lost faith in the TMO in the last 9 or 10 months which had impacted a number of his performances.

2015 IRB Junior Rugby World Cup - Italy

Not managed to see the current crop in action, haven't found enough footage/streaming, but from all reports its the best U20 crop in recent memory. Fewer and fewer of the boys are part of the club game, most are in Academies, English, French or Scottish, a handful have started a few games for...

Rebels V Lions, Round 5, Friday 20 March @ AAMI Park

7 points left on the field in kicks alone. Another who knows how many in botched opportunities. Nice to see them play a good style, but a bitterly disapointing result. Need to fix up a few things, Mikey was good at 10, but think Debs should come back if fit. Engo needs to be benched or dropped...

Rebels V Lions, Round 5, Friday 20 March @ AAMI Park

Not enough points on the board, turnover becomes a try underneath the sticks for the Lions. 13-10, 44 gone, need to get back into the swing and quickly.

Rebels V Lions, Round 5, Friday 20 March @ AAMI Park

Scrums and inability to finish off great attacking opportunities are very frustrating. Otherwise I can't complain at all about that half. Great, positive, attacking Rugby played. 4 missed points by Harris may bite us on the bum, but otherwise he's been magnificent.

Can Cheika ball work for the Wallabies?

I'll put my hand up, sorry about that.

Can Cheika ball work for the Wallabies?

£500k for a project player. Classic Gunners, that's a big chunk of their BT sport money. At least Visser was already a somewhat proven performer at that level, when they signed him. They tried to get that Kiwi League Fullback too.

Rebels V Lions, Round 5, Friday 20 March @ AAMI Park

Would like to see everyone who doesn't get at least 15-20 mins against the Lions to play for their club. Good for the comp, plus it lets guys on the edge of the squad get some minutes. Whether it happens or not, who knows.

Rebels V Lions, Round 5, Friday 20 March @ AAMI Park

I probably would as well TBH, but wearing a selection hat, playing 2 opensides and a 6.5 is much easier to justify with McMahon, Colby and Fugs, than it is with Reid.

Rebels V Lions, Round 5, Friday 20 March @ AAMI Park

Injury report normally comes on Tuesday. Hoping nothing is serious. Despite an excellent start to the season, we could get away with an injury to Fugs, would actually be an opportunity to perhaps introduce Samo into the team. Debreczeni wouldn't be too bad, Hegs in, Crawford, or Jonah to the...

    Six Nations 2015

Lucky not to be 3 tries down after about 20 minutes, but then perhaps should have had a second in that last 7 or 8 minutes. Still a lot of issues especially on Defence. Scrums are only holding up through the wily play of Euan Murray. But it'll be another performance where the effort far...

    Force v Rebels Rd 5

I get the back issues, but he played another 6 games after that, none of which really resembled the performances he'd had at the Not-Nots, Hawkes Bay, and even that Cheetahs game. And TT does have to take blame for that, no question. Non-forced Squad Rotation comes when success and/or...

    Force v Rebels Rd 5

Twas the Beef I think. Weeks kept his spot. Poor Beef. Looked good off the Bench against the Cheetahs, but then never picked up again after that demolicking. On a positive note, it really helped the development of Cruze.

    Aussie Player Exodus

Think he's got 2 more seasons with Stade after this one. Would love to have him back this year, but will probably not eventuate. Finishing his contract in full would see him coming back at 28 (roughly Fardy age), with a wealth of experience and knowledge, with 2 (and maybe that little bit when...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Barring an injury crisis, it's hard to see uncapped players in the squad, unless they demonstrate ridiculous form.

    Ideas for NRC 2015

Think it may be simpler to raise the cap on players (say, to 20ish), then make it part of the Super Players contracts to sign and appear for the NRC side, taking into account long term injury and Wallabies duty of course. Have it done earlier in the Year, say by May 1st of each year, Super...

    Ideas for NRC 2015

THE National Rugby Championship is set to be played for at least six more years, with the competition’s future all-but secured in the ARU’s new broadcasting deal. The inaugural season of the NRC yielded mixed results last year, with the third-tier competition producing good rugby and eleven...
