Where to for quality Rugby journalism???

Imagine it says much the same as Bernie's did.

    Brumbies 2019

BJ, I'd have thought Pete Samu would come into the starting side after his game on the weekend to partner Valetini and McCaffery in the back row. Cusack on the bench. Is Taliauli fit to go?

Where to for quality Rugby journalism???

Well, for starters she could have moved Cheika to the created spot that Bernie has taken up, at same rate of pay. Cheika is poison and the further away from the test team he is the better.

Where to for quality Rugby journalism???

Had I had my way, Cheika would have gone in 2016. It was obvious then that he had his favourites and no amount of test losses was going to influence him to pick stronger teams. EDIT : It wouldn't have been too late to sack him at the end of 2018, but guts are totally lacking in the RA...

    Reds 2019

Eales being lifted in a lineout. Did that actually happen. I recall most of Eales days he was jumping one-on-one against Jones from the ABs. Lifting may have been allowed near the end of his career, but certainly not for the majority of it.

    Round 1 - Waratahs vs Hurricanes @ Brookvale - Saturday 16 February 2019

Hunt was better than I expected, but was being used mostly as a crash ball No 12. Did get over the gain line consistently, but everyone does against Laumape. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) was out of his depth.

    Round 1 - Waratahs vs Hurricanes @ Brookvale - Saturday 16 February 2019

Not much good can be said of that game. Horrorcanes were simply dreadful. I've never seen Jordie Barrett have such a shocker. Tahs showed very little in attack. Holloway was a stand out best player for them.

They've (the Tahs) still got the one fan who counts most. Happens to be the national coach.

    Round 1 - Waratahs vs Hurricanes @ Brookvale - Saturday 16 February 2019

As a former resident of Manly Warringah area, I am fully aware of the value of the ground to the MW League team. Though in the past couple of years I would think there has been an almighty dent put into that reputation. But why would a Rugby player channel League to make that statement. Just...

Where to for quality Rugby journalism???

As I understand the situation, Cheika gets most say, if not all, in the selection of the third selector. Have to say I think the introduction of Johnson and the selection panel is mere window dressing on the part of RA.

She appears to have swallowed Cheikas' rubbish, hook line and sinker.

Wasn't Faifax recenty taken over by Nine? Maybe something to do with the new owners.

    Round 1 - Waratahs vs Hurricanes @ Brookvale - Saturday 16 February 2019

Really makes you laugh, doesn't it? According to Bernard Foley: "To be at home, to be back at Brookvale where we had such a great reception last year, it's great to play in those suburban grounds where they can get very vocal and quite loud and make it hopefully into the fortress that it has...

    Round 1 - Waratahs vs Hurricanes @ Brookvale - Saturday 16 February 2019

That's a very strong backline, even without Beauden Barrett. Ardie Savea should provide enough go forward to allow the Hurricane backs to control the game.

    Round 1 - Brumbies v Rebels - Fri 15th@7:45pm

Samu had an immediate impact against the Tahs. Made excellent metres through the middle, and got a turnover iirc at at least one ruck. I don't think any of the other loose forwards even challenged for possession at ruck time, and that's exactly how I remember them playing from last year as well...

    Round 1 - Brumbies v Rebels - Fri 15th@7:45pm

Far too much optimism on this thread from Brumbies' fans. No match will be a walkover, and at this early stage any game could go either way. I am hanging out to see that the Brumbies play with the same intent and freedom as they finished last year.

    Waratahs 2019

Silver, I am a great fan of Simon Cron. Look over posts about a year or two ago. I stated my belief early on that he would go far. My post, that you seem to have taken umbrage at, was that there were a couple of pages beforehand where every poster was calling the Assistant Waratahs' coach Mike...

    Waratahs 2019

I really think Mike Cron's coaching career is going well and probably has the ABs' HC as his goal. Simon Cron on the other hand.....

    Round 1 - Waratahs vs Hurricanes @ Brookvale - Saturday 16 February 2019

My issues with Hunt as a defender go back to his Reds/Wallabies days. I have seen him make some very embarrassing misses in the past. Nevertheless, as FP says, he is probably still the best option for the Tahs. Certainly a big step up on Beale.

    Round 1 - Brumbies v Rebels - Fri 15th@7:45pm

Interesting that McCaffery gets a start in place of Pete Samu. But he did have a strong trial match v the Tahs. Except for a couple of handling mistakes, he bent the line consistently. I was not at all impressed with Lucas when he came on against the Tahs. Very slow and tentative in his...
