    Where to for Super Rugby?

Sure. What is needed though, is that any arrangements put in place do not prohibit that development. And DO prohibit a shrink in current numbers. And ensure a roughly level playing field in terms of players strength. And ensure enough domestic content to interest the domestic broadcaster...

    Rugby Championship 2021

RSA has recently shown a heavy reluctance to anything that increases the risk of their current status. Hard to know how they will consider the matter.

    Reds 2021

Oh dear. Reds actively recruited a 10? Crumbs I was screaming for it and they did not. Anyhows, I don't want Stewart back at 10 either. Just dispute your historical "non" revisionism.

    SRAU RD 8 - Reds v Brumbies

Reds. By 5. And some big names in the WB squad made. Or dampened. It's time for Neville, Valetini, Cusack, Samu, Ikitau, Banks - to show the clear dominance that the Brumby fan superiority complex demands. Time to get it on.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Not quite. If a (so called) commercial focus indicated a TT needed less Australian teams then I would close down the initiative completely. We need to invest domestically, and to deny any third party having the opportunity to stop that happening. If a TT can't work to Australian requirements...

    Reds 2021

Eh? Yes he was great. Not the best in the comp, but great. And no, the only 10's recruited were for development. JOC (James O'Connor) was hardly recruited specifically for 10. These issues formed up over time as the coaching team considered options. JOC (James O'Connor) has ended up a much better 10 than Stewart - but it wasn't...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Yeah its does. To some of us anyway. Yes, absolutely. Perhaps this may see some serious limitations.

    Reds 2021

OK. James, there is fine margins in a 5 team comp between top two and middle of the pack. I suspect that there is a chance we would drop from #1 given just how much JOC (James O'Connor) gives us. But I don't see Rebels leap-frogging us with Stewart at 10. BUT. If Stewart plays 10 and shoves his head inside...

    Reds 2021

Would not argue at 10. For 12 they both offer something a little different in terms of strengths at D rather than play ,making per se. Stewart ruck strengths are better than To'omua (who has plenty). I don't think To'omua's kicking in play is a huge leap ahead of Stewart though definitely...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Are you talking a TT that follows domestic? I think not? SO then having a commercial merit base is better than having a SANZAR based merit base. But we don't need it. We do need a domestic. Ideally a growing domestic comp (in terms of teams). If the TT proposed is likely to kill that...

    Rugby Championship 2021

With RSA and Argie not being able to have home games, I don't mind the idea of having a home Nation. I'm OK with that being NZ as long as the finances stack and Aus get's it's cut. End of the day though, it will be spread across the Tasman.

How many of those are utility backs? Not: Jock, Daugunu, Vunivalu. Droesese, Flook, Henry, Creighton probably chasing their best slot. And let's hope that that Petaia does not end up Hodge-esque as a utility. Stewart makes a good utility, but most of us seem to want him in the 15.

    Reds 2021

Soz. He hadn't been passing at all much in the early rounds. had to be under instruction though. He does actually throw a great pass. Still not the usual strength match for a 10.

    Reds 2021

Love NB's work. In this case while I agree with the premise of what Stewart brings, I'm not convinced that a centre pairing of Paisami-Petaia will not quickly be superior. They are of course very different beasts. On another note, with NB pulling out clips to demonstrate Reds backline D - did...

    I don't think Hooper at 6 is a worthwhile experiment ;-)

    Reds 2021

Historically correct sophistry - ie correct but incomplete. Stewart does things few backorders do. Kicking, high ball, cut out passes, backline D organisation. (Campbell is the other part of that equation at the Reds.) A modern back has to earn some stripes with ruck performance. Yes, Stewart...

    Reds 2021

Haha! Remember at the start of the season and the screaming outrage by non-Red WB fans when I suggested that both Paisami and Petaia might be good enough for the WBs but they would have to fight for their positions at the Reds. I also thought that they would, just that could not simply be gifted...
