    National Rugby Championship 2014

Mate, that's fine. But they gave the expectation that it would be announced by now. It should be expected that the keenest supporters want them to keep to their own deadlines.

Rebels vs Crusaders, Rnd 4, 14 March 2014 @ AAMI

I'm suspicious of any coach who benches the star performer, because he disobeyed the game plan. Well Tony, they've played to your game plan two weeks in a row,and surprisingly were fucking woeful two weeks in a row. Time to bench the game plan?

2014 IRB Junior World Championship – New Zealand

How many kids in that 20's squad did not play 16's rep or go to a GPS or CAS School? 3? One was a country rep who played combined states, and another,a Victorian rep who played Oz Schools. That leaves one. Hugh, your pathway is fucked! Edit: That one is a centre. Jim Stewart is injured and would...

Ben Mowen survives alleged mutiny plot.........

You just have to watch Cheika for 10 minutes. There are no grey areas. Very animated, wears his heart on his sleeve.

The Awful Truth About The ARU's Financial Position

Local zone organisations? It's a committee of part time volunteers, who are there representing their village club, to primarily organise a competition for their Clubs teams, and the rep teams for 15's & 16's What are your expectations of the zone?

    National Rugby Championship 2014

Mate, that's the issue, the ARU supports the Wallabies and that's it. Everyone else has to fend for themselves. It makes no sense for the ARU to dismantle Village Rugby,in the hope other failing pathways can improve miraculously. SS Clubs do not have the infrastructure or any spare cash to help...

The Awful Truth About The ARU's Financial Position

You're getting less cynical IS. I would have predicted you would consider Ansett or Compass a better fit for the ARU.

Ben Mowen survives alleged mutiny plot.........

Actions speak louder than words. Maybe, they agree with him,but acknowledge as an employer there are conventions to which they must abide. I know I would feel like a dick,if I punished some subordinates over behavioural issues, and my penalties were overturned at a later date.

Ben Mowen survives alleged mutiny plot.........

Except,he called a press conference to announce the penalties. The fact that his employer is not endorsing his actions,by not noting these events on players files, and granting top ups to a player suspended from the Test match, indicate they believe Link did not act correctly.

2014 IRB Junior World Championship – New Zealand

When you add in the 5 or 6 that Ted SH mentions, then add in another 6 or so from the 2011 cohort,it changes things somewhat. Then there are only 5 or so in the squad that weren't on the pathway since 16. Which I think is an issue, but opposite to the point you were making.

Ben Mowen survives alleged mutiny plot.........

There were 15 of them! 2 or 3 staying out late might be a case of bad attitude. When there are 15 of them come home after "curfew",it strongly suggests there was no curfew.

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2014

Please. A level 3 coach going into a comp where some of their best players can't draw and pass, and 9's who despite 4 years of intensive coaching can only pass one way. Yeah this will test him, not.
  14. I like to watch

Ben Mowen survives alleged mutiny plot.........

When Link announced the penalties,he would have highlighted the fact he had previously informed the players of the new rules. But he didn't. And the players would not have blown up about breaking a curfew that didn't exist. Anyway,we seem to be talking at each other,so we can just agree to disagree.
  15. I like to watch

Ben Mowen survives alleged mutiny plot.........

Like it or not, coming home late was something that had been tolerated within that squad.if the coach decides that is no longer acceptable,he should communicate this to his squad. It is not good leadership to change the rules, tell no one,and then discipline them according to you new regime.

    National Rugby Championship 2014

You clearly went to a School with a good Rugby program. Come down to the Northern beaches and watch what they call the Peninsular cup, which is a local comp for Schools that have not given up on Rugby yet,but do not have a a Rugby program. You cannot make this the only option for kids in a large...

Ben Mowen survives alleged mutiny plot.........

No one disagrees with any of that. And if it was Links intention to set new standards, terrific. But why did he forget to articulate this to the entire squad before they left? And then when he deliberately takes days to "investigate" the issue so it's too late to make immediate disciplinary...

Never let logic get in the way of a good old fashioned public hanging. String him up,bring on the next chump. It fills in the week between games at least!

    Reds 2014

That's a great demonstration on why you shouldn't rely too much on statistics. Both the Force & the Reds are statistically better then the Tahs, yet they were both man shamed by the Tahs. This has got to be a Michael Foley statistic.Someone scored a bonus point win against your doughnut, and you...

ARU Junior Gold Cup - National Junior Championships
