    Sharks v Tahs, round 7 2014

It's fucking dog,and there should be zero tolerance for it. I see no difference in cleaning up a guy off the ball, and punching someone off the ball.invariably the cheap shot gets a warning, but the punch is a card.

    Stormers v Tahs, round 8 2014

But apart from that, and the fact they had to travel back from Brisbane for this home game they have no excuses?

That's because the dicks played him at 13 when he first converted.

How the fuck does the points system work? Hooper = 6 points Hingano = 1point

Don't know if I was even speculating. Absolutely no inside info.

Depends on who might decide to play them. Bit hard to dominate,if no one turns up to play you!

Seriously, the contact bit is not that different. People just over analyse some things. Just remember,he was recruited into Mungo off the back of his performance with the jnr Brumbies or whatever they call it. So how do you reckon he was coping in Rugby, before he was poached?

About the difference between the S&C regimes of AFL & Rugby,or the amount a below average 16 yo Rugby player can squat?

Rubbish. Did you know that Izzy could squat about the same as a 16 female half back of below average ability,in his first Rugby pre season? How did that work out for him?

    State of Origin Rugby

No need. SOO was born out of desperation for a contest between the states. It was amateurs v pros in the last few years before SOO,and had long ceased being a contest. That's not the case in our code.

    Reds v Stormers Rd 7 2014

I disagree, Dwyer is a big fan of squaring up the attack & not drifting with the ball in hand. He also strongly promotes having multiple runners,so the ball carrier has options. But yeah,I agree that he does not give the drift defence enough credit in shutting down plays.

Contractually,Parra's deal with their players HAS to be independant of any 3rd party deals. That's their rules. So if Haynes 3rd party deals turn to shit,it has no effect on his obligations to Parra.

They "signed" him after 2 rounds, before this new theory about the faster speed being a leveller for the big guys was being espoused. And now the Bulldogs have "unsigned" him after an additional 2 games. It's not outrageous to suggest they also now believe in this new theory. Edit:I see Ash made...

Don't think so. They were interested when they thought they needed to replace Burgess with another big unit. With the rule/interpretation changes, that have come in,they have found that rather being short a big man, they are now overstocked with them.

How do you win the comp without beating the Brookvale team? Does Oakhill have 50 point improvement in them from last year?

Pattern? They have beaten Auggies once in their last 8 or so attempts. Augs have 6 of their pack returning I think. Good luck.

    Shute Shield 2014

I think The Tahs needs to appoint some bookmakers to their recruitment panel. On Saturday West Harbour had a backline of Harvey,Sidey & 2 Tah A wingers, against a no name Rats backline. Bookies had Rats 1.58. No name backline tore the Pirates a new one.

So,who else should we sign for the 2019 season? (assuming AF doesn't sign any contract extensions between now and then)

    Sharks v Tahs, round 7 2014

No,sorry but it just cannot be against the rules to push & shove a South African player. If that standard was applied universally, very few South African teams could barely finish a game with any players!

    Rugby Quotes of the Week

Not the same Hugh. This is a carnival, that just happens to have some 7's played during it. No one in the South stand is there for the Rugby. I was paying close to AUD $40 for a jug there more than 5 years ago,and the pies weren't cheap there either. Despite it being a sellout,if the Poms are...
