    Highlanders v Waratahs - Saturday 27 May - 5.30pm

They didn't play crap, the clan just lifted, especially in defense and we couldn't lift to match their intensity. I do wonder why we went to the bench so early

bet you $1 that you are pretty well 100% wrong He has played 50 odd tests in just 5 years and is still just 25, lets wait until he hits 30 and near 100 tests before we work out his legacy.

Yeah, Carter and McCaw are two of the best units I have ever scene. Did it help playing in a great team, sure, but they were\are the dogs bollocks Carter's biggest issue is that he made everything look so easy, simply a wonderful player

I see the big difference between NZ & Aus rugby being that essentially NZ gets pretty well first choice of all the athletes for the ABs year in/year out whilst Aus gets a very filtered stream.

    "Transparency" at the ARU

Have you not seen how some NRL contracts have big back ends? It isn't unusual

    "Transparency" at the ARU

It appears from the outcome you are incorrect, he had enough bargaining power, but whether getting a paid sabbatical or a larger contract on returning, what is the difference?

    "Transparency" at the ARU

It isn't unusual to see key employees get deals where as part of their contract includes a sabbatical or as in Buddy Franklin's Swans massive deal, he gets his money even if he retires. With Pocock coming back, McMahon will be third choice and he is getting paid as a third choice

    Waratahs 2018

There has been very little issue with the clearances, all 9s chuck an average one, but he could greatly limit the issue by taking more time, slowing up the play, taking a few steps etc etc And then we get the screams from the crowds, to get the ball OUT!

Rugby is a minority sport in Aus, always has been

    Waratahs 2018

disagree, Phipps' speed to the breakdown is just so much better,,,, with that you get quicker clearances and that builds momentum and creates opportunities as the bad guys have less time to set their defences.

Waratahs v Rebels - Sunday 21 May - Allianz Stadium

Agree, in context it deserved a card, just more a comment about Gardner's opinion of Latu's work. I don't think he attacked the ball again in the match

Waratahs v Rebels - Sunday 21 May - Allianz Stadium

It was nice to see the Tahs start to demonstrate what I think Gibson has been working on for the last two years. Great interchange between players, direct running and just catch and pass. Early days, but promising I expect those burgeoning skills to be greatly challenged next week under far...
