Possibly, Hanigan (or Tua) are additional 6/lock cover (an upgrade on Mumm), Dempsey (or Hardwick) are additional 6/7 cover. (a downgrade on McMahon I would be be budgeting for Hooper to play 80 every time and our tight five in need of support Coleman Arnold Timani Hooper Higgers Carter &...

I am not sure what we can read into it, but the Fox Sports Podcast talked of chieka having both Timani and Higgers penciled in and competing for the 8 role; and they suggested Hanigan is likely to be 6. I don't see it myself

They are about workrate off the ball, the ABs (and the Kiwi Super sides) usually send it two wide passes across the field and the rest of the team is working hard to support those runners

We are where we have been for a while, the only real change is an ascendant England and playing them 4 times last year We win most at home (except for the ABs and an ascendant England) and we are competitive against the rest away, winning some and losing some

We could also have a traditional 10, who sits deep in the pocket, kicks all day not making a tackle

This isn't the 1970s, rugby at a decent level simply isn't played like that anymore

I guess you mean an Aus "traditional #7", because many countries don't run one, the fetching responsibilities are now just as much spread throughout the team and the 7 is required to be more of an all-rounder.

Well he isn't, Chieka explained his reasons for leaving him out of this squad. 1/ He isn't planned to be a test starter 2/ He is thought of at the moment as a starter only, not a bench option 3/ The balance are there for development 4/ If we need him to start, he will be picked from outside...

Nabuli is an upgrade on Naiyaravoro and Cheika likes that option of a very big fast threat on the wing

Yeah, I am not sure about Dempsey either, but he was on the Nov tour so he is on the conveyor belt at the moment, RHP can expect the same in Nov IMHO. I think Dempsey's point of difference is his real pace. But I don't think we will see more that about 3 minutes at the backend of a test from...

I think it will depend on who else is signed and I agree we need high workrate tight locks

Unfortunately I felt the same about the squad before the June Tests last season I think the description "about as good as we can put out at the moment" maybe more accurate

Fardy was not considered a starter and Cheika wanted other options for the bench and development. He said Fardy is still in the mix if a starter is needed Sent from my Nexus 9 using Tapatalk

    Waratahs 2018

His passing has improved, but under pressure at test level, when he gets tired it, can get patchy. What he does offer is the quickest, front foot ball service in the country and that equates to getting over the advantage line more often

I would give Gibson more time, but change the support coaches, defense has been atrocious and the while the set piece has improved, the ruck and maul work has been just average
