    Where to for Super Rugby?

Even so, Burgess wasn’t a failure. He just wasn’t an inside centre, at least not a test one, and he was rushed into the test side, with another couple of years under his belt he could have been a great #6.

Super Rugby AU Round 9 - Brumbies, v. Force, Friday 28 August 7:05pm AEST (5:05pm AWST)

It was a bit tongue in cheek of course, and was Force specific. However I have no objection whatsoever to outside capital being used in the other franchises, but I’d prefer it be used to retain our best players, or get them back.

Super Rugby AU Round 9 - Brumbies, v. Force, Friday 28 August 7:05pm AEST (5:05pm AWST)

Correct. Long arm transfer illegal. Here is an interesting discussion on the matter BR if you are interested http://www.rugbyrefs.com/showthread.php?20666-Long-arm-transfer-sanction

    Australian Rugby / RA

That’s true. This is also true. If this is the actual shortlist and Jones doesn’t get the job then god help us.

Super Rugby AU Round 9 - Brumbies, v. Force, Friday 28 August 7:05pm AEST (5:05pm AWST)

Just involves Twiggy spending a day’s interest to purchase the worlds best players. Subject to rules and salary cap of course.

    Waratahs 2021

I’m not sure the 45-12 score line reflects us being years behind the Reds. Don’t read that to mean that I think that is an indication of where we are at. It isn’t. However we have a young squad with huge potential and that result proves that. 2021 may not be our year but I reckon 2022 might be.

Super Rugby AU Round 9 - Brumbies, v. Force, Friday 28 August 7:05pm AEST (5:05pm AWST)

You can. Issue is staying onside prior (no pun intended)

Super Rugby AU Team of the Week

    It's Friday, which means it's cumulative team day. 1. T. Robertson (WAR) 2. B. Paenga-Amosa (RED) 3. T. Tupou (RED) 4. A. Blyth (RED) 5. L. Solokai-Loto (RED) 6. L. Wright (RED) 7. F. McReight (RED) 8. I. Naisarani (REB) 9. T. McDermott (RED) 10. J. O’Connor (RED) 11. F. Daugunu (RED) 12. I...

    Wallabies 2020

Brumbies look to be doing a bit of rotation ahead of the last round and the finals, I’m not reading anything into it. Except for maybe TK who has been left out 2 weeks running.

    NSW AAGPS 2020

Aaah, right you are. I had it right the first time but with the dates the wrong way around.

    NSW AAGPS 2020

The round 1 fixtures will be played on Tuesday 19th September. Presumably that will just be 1st, 2nds, 3rds, but hopefully they can at least do the age group As as well. Back to the good old days of squeezing in a Waratah Shield game mid week. Correction: they have changed it since I posted...

Super Rugby AU Round 9 - Brumbies, v. Force, Friday 28 August 7:05pm AEST (5:05pm AWST)

The rested Brumbies players are all back in some way, except for Kuridrani, what's up with him? Injured or dropped?

    Wallabies 2020

Like it or not incumbency does carry some weight at the start of an international season, this season even more so as we will be only be playing the All Blacks and in the first test we will have had 2 and a half weeks preparation and they will have had 2 and half months. I would add that in the...

    NSW AAGPS 2020

Tony George was interviewed again this morning, this time on 2GB by Ben Fordham, and said that the last 24 hours had been very productive, and although there were a few more hoops to get through they were optimistic of a positive development/announcement later on today. He said that the decision...

Super Rugby Au Round 9 - Rebels vs Waratahs, 7:15pm Sat 29th August

Physically he will be fine, I suspect it’s more his technical proficiencies that have been holding him back

    NSW AAGPS 2020

I can't read it either but it says 'private school sport to restart after marathon crisis meeting' so I guess that's all we need to know. Presumably details will filter through during the day.

    NSW AAGPS 2020

Reading the above letter, I think the pertinent paragraph for GPS schools is the one which refers to limiting crowds and minimising the number of schools that interact. The crowd constraints are already in place and what it may mean is that at a school like Joeys the Fs to Js might play a lot of...

    NSW AAGPS 2020

I agree completely. I actually even don't care if all we get out of this is 3 rounds of Kings v Joeys, it's better than nothing. I'm biased though, being a Kings parent, but I honestly hope the other schools all want in.

    Wallabies 2020

As the bloke who puts out the TOTW I can inform you that the the selections are highly skewed to the teams that win. R6 above is the interesting one as that was Tahs v Reds. In that game Hooper shat on both McReight and Wright. In R7 both teams won but Tahs was against the Force and McReight...

    NSW AAGPS 2020

I agree with the view that it’s probably a last ditch throw at the stumps to get the decision overturned. It has nothing to do with private v public, and everything to do with the fact that there were 5 cases in NSW today, 3 yesterday, etc, etc, and to anyone’s knowledge 0 transmitted through...
