    Wallabies 2020

I think you are stuck in the pre Covid comp. Waratahs form was pretty good in the second round, they beat everyone except the Brumbies, including a thumping of your lot, who are actually the form team. Also, all of those players were named in the PONI 'squad', except for Dempsey and it's not a...

    Wallabies 2020

I don’t think FLW (Fergus Lee-Warner) is Wallabies material. The omission of Robertson is odd, however that is probably a pointer to the loose heads from the remaining squads. They are all pretty good, particularly that the Brumbies have two of them. Harmichael being left out is pretty meh, I’d pick him over Kyle...

    Rebels 2020

Yes, me too. Mitch Short would be a good option.

    Rebels 2020

How does that work, just out of interest? Presumably they couldn't borrow a front line player like Gordon or Prior, does it have to be someone outside the regular 23?

    Wallabies 2020

Turinui reckons he is going to be the best #6 in the world. He's still young, I'd leave him at lock, he can transition back to 6 with more experience and when we get some bigger bodies in the mix at lock.

    Wallabies 2020

I think Dempsey has been the best 8 but Samu is a great bench option as he covers all 3 positions. That said, so can Wright and Dempsey. I'd go: 6. Wright 7. Hooper 8. Dempsey 20. Samu With the caveat that I'm pretty excited about McReight, but he isn't going to displace Hooper and...

Maddocks is clearly the form fullback. I think it will come down to whether Rennie wants the experience up the back, in which case DHP or Hodge will get the gig initially. Maddocks is a good fit for the #23 if that's the case though.

That one is properly locked in I reckon

You really think Valetini and Samu were better then Wright and Wilson? Both had moments but the Queensland players were clearly better.

Super Rugby AU Team of the Week

Footnote: the Brumbies actually aren’t the form team, the Reds are.

Banks not having a good night. No way you’d risk him v the All Blacks, doesn’t do pressure well.

Super Rugby AU Team of the Week

I can tell you that hasn't happened though. Even so, it's accounted for in the scoring by giving the also ran half a point. Ironically the biggest victim of the scoring system has been Hooper, he's been on a lot of benches. If someone is to fall victim to the scenario you outline it will be him.

You and me can see it, our new national coach still has him slated in as a 12 though.

Super Rugby AU Team of the Week

Certainly the rotation/resting has affected the Brumbies with an exercise like this. That said, even if you look at the ‘B’ team that I posted is there a consistent performer from the Brumbies best that just has to be picked for the Wallabies? Possibly Slipper. Obviously more will be, and...

Super Rugby AU Round 10 - Rebels v Force, 3.00pm AEST Sat 5th September

I agree with that. I'm not upset about the Tahs not getting a finals berth, but a NSW v Qld semi would have been gold.
