Wallabies vs Wales - Docklands Stadium June 16

The best thing about tonight was the composure at the end. Maybe this group is finally starting to show some maturity. Ben Alexander is an absolute liabilty in a Wallabies Jersey. We need to get over this man love for props who can get around the park but continuously give away crucial scrum...

Beale and Cooper in boozy incident

What a load of shit. It is nobodys business except KB (Kurtley Beale), the police prosecutor and the alleged victim. Who decided that sportsmen should be role models. We expect them to go out and physically smash the opposition on the field, and we will shower them with praise for it, but heaven forbid they...

    Western Force 2013

I agree with what RedsHappy posted above. I posted something similar at the beginning of the year, seriously querying the viability of the Western Force, so long as they were subject to the whims of a largely disinterested ARU and the WARU showing a complete lack of direction. I've seen nothing...

    Western Force 2013

Godwin is a good facilitator. He makes room for those around him and let's them shine. With the current Western Force backline he would be on a hiding to nothing. He may have the individual brilliance game, but I haven't seen it yet. We need to develop or recruit some players he can put into a...

    Robbie Deans

Robbie Deans playing props in their regular positions? Has the world gone crazy? Next he will be playing the backs in their regular positions!

    2012 England tour to SA

I still cant believe Meyer leaves Brussow out because he doesn't believe in a fetcher. Its like some cruel twist of fate to a bloke who should be on the park. DeVilliers got smashed by Tuilangi twice, but Tuilangi made alot of unforced errors.

    Robbie Deans

I did wonder as I typed that. I thought he was still in the 22. Though that raises a question as well. Robinson is usually an 80 minute player and Kepu a 60. I can't remember, did he shift Kepu to the LH side and bring Alexander onto the TH? That is something Robbie would likely do.

    Robbie Deans

Don't kid yourself it was a master class in coaching. there were once again serious frailties in Deans selections and tactics for this game. No proper reserve lock, Sharpe played on with a smashed face until he was forced to send Dennis on. Not sending the reserves on until 10 minutes after...

When are we going to address the crisis of not being able to play in rain?

I have the solution. There is a 7's tournament which helps identify and develop talented players who make their way into the backlines of the 15 man game. Australia should invent and begin a Rugby 9's tournament. Numbers 1 to 9 only with the 9 only utilised to feed scrums and pass the ball...

McCaw finds a new way to cheat

Well lets face it, he is getting pretty old now, and if he can use their momentum it takes less of his withering strength to clean them out.

Wallabies vs Wales - Suncorp Stadium June 9

On the end of a darkness backline. Bit of a difference.

Wallabies vs Wales - Suncorp Stadium June 9

I think Vuna's tackling was OK. He missed a couple when he pushed up at full pace, but was really only in position to make a tackle due to his hard work. For a debut, I think Vuna acquitted himself well.

Wallabies vs Wales - Suncorp Stadium June 9

The last scrum of the game, the Wobs were dominated. I was fearing them pinning us in the 22 and punishing our scrum. Luckily Phillips kept tapping and running. I reckon he stuffed up, Wales were also winning the lineout battle.

Wallabies vs Wales - Suncorp Stadium June 9

Phew. Deans nearly muffed it at the 51st minute by not putting our reserves on when they did. They scored 10 points in the 10 minutes it took for Deans to finally look to the bench. Just so relieved and happy.

Wallabies vs Wales - Suncorp Stadium June 9

Taking into consideration the imminent winter solstice, I have come to the belief that the Wallabies will win by 12. Purely based on the fact that we all need a little bit more sunshine in our lives.

John O'Neil New Chairman for Echo.

If only JON would throw Deans under the bus, as willingly as he threw John Story.

Wallabies vs Wales - Suncorp Stadium June 9

I like the look of Sautia, but looking at him last night he is smaller than I thought. He is more likely to be a Fruen style 13 than a Mortlock style 13. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

    2012 IRB Junior World Championship

Did you see their passion before the game and at half time. It can work against you on a dry track if a team puts a few on you and all of a sudden you are looking up the hill having spent all your emotional energy. But in weather like tonight its guts and glory stuff.
