    Waratahs 2013

Though, I doubt you'll see those two together on the field much, especially after this year. Regarding Balmain, it's common knowledge that they pay some of their players and have done for a few years, just like the Dirty Reds. The major sponsor was Dick's Bar in Balmain, but I'm unsure if...

    Wallabies 31 Man Squad

Damn, shows how little I know about rugby. I was certain that it was Tight Wad. Everyone knows that the props are the cheapest guys in the team, probably because they spend all their pay on beer and pies.

    Wallabies 31 Man Squad

Beale I would love, but under the current circumstances is not ideal and I think should not (I would say can not, but he probably will so obviously he can) be chosen. See other thread. McCabe I can't justify either. He hasn't played much 13 at a Supe level to be considered a real option...

    Waratahs 2014

Gee, it's a nice problem to have though, isn't it? Working out where to fit a star in to the betterment of the team, as opposed to where you can dig up quality players in a position. If Beale does go back to the Tahs, there's only two options for me: a) Beale at 10, Folau 15, Foley on the...

    Wallabies 31 Man Squad

Those selections would make for an awfully unbalanced squad though. 6 flankers, 3 locks at the moment. MMM and Douglas would make 5 locks, Smith would make 7 flankers. Can't see a squad with 5 locks and 7 flankers when it has just 2 hookers and 2 halfbacks. Not to mention, short on 13s as...

    Wallabies Watch

The last I will say on it is: I would also love a fully fit Beale playing for the Wallabies. But..... Rehabilitation takes months, if not year, for a person with alcohol issues. Many will never get rid of it, it will be a life long battle. Beale is not rejoining the Rebels to play for...

    Wallabies Watch

I'll be shocked if Beale is picked in the Lions squad. To me it's just plain wrong. I don't see one single way in which it could even come close to being justified. The simple fact is that if the same behaviour (attacking the captain, misbehaving and punching a team mate a little after going...

Reds v Rebels, Super Rugby Round 16, 1 June 2013

OK, OK, you got me. There is some exaggeration there. 29 - 39 points is a much more reasonable starting margin for the Rebs.

    Wallabies 31 Man Squad

Sheehan started over Alby a few games ago, and has been closing games in the last 10 to 20.

Reds v Rebels, Super Rugby Round 16, 1 June 2013

Reds: - have lost the last two games - have only scored 1 try in the last 2 weeks, and that was from a dubious (well, flat out wrong) TMO call - are returning from a horrible SA tour, including being delayed by a day - have a forward pack with a misfunctioning lineout and struggling to dominate...

Battle of the Blood Red: Lions v Queensland Reds 8th June 2013

Will CFS be available, or will he be shipped off to the U20s after the Rebels game?

    Reds 2014

    Philip Kite?

    Country v B&I Lions

Would prefer to see starters in the Reds vs Lions game excluded - this will include Holmes and Beau Robinson. Daley and Buttler would likely be on the Reds bench, so not so sure. Stripping some key players from the Reds squad for this game would be stupidity, especially when there are other...

    Waratahs 2014

Camperdown Rugby Club? You mean Petersham, right? Camperdown doesn't have a rugby club, the Shammies play at Camperdown oval though (I used to live right nearby). Unless you mean Sydney Uni, of course. Pffft. The Shammies are the real grassroots rugby club in Camperdown.

    Rebels v Waratahs, rd15 SR2013

Hooper had one of those games where he just couldn't make an impact at ruck time, and when he tried he just gave away penalties. He has too much energy sometimes; looks like a bit energiser bunny. Thought the ref let much too much go at the ruck time for both teams. Some of the stuff was...

    Rebels v Waratahs, rd15 SR2013

He is one of the least effective players at ruck time I have ever seen. Poor cleanouts, generally flops instead, like a TH prop who can't get around the ground. Very close game; good win to the Rebels in the end. Rebels still shooting themselves in the foot with errors once they get in front...

Blues vs Brumbies - Round 15

I'd take a win to the Reds with a bonus point, and a win to the Brumbies and Tahs (Tahs optionally with a BP). Although nothing against the Rebels, I normally cheer for them and like watching them play.

    Reds vs Stormers, Newlands 2013

Unless it's a World Cup year.....

    REBELS v STORMERS RD 14

I didn't think it did - I never saw an angle which showed Higgers' hand hitting the ball. Don't get me wrong - I think it's very likely that Higgers' hand did his the ball, just that there was no angle that showed that it did.

    Rebels v Waratahs, rd15 SR2013

I thought so too, but they do those tests with players to check the level of concussion first during the week. So, either Douglas passed the concussion tests the next day (or in the next days), or he did what lots of other players do - purposely flunked the control tests at the start of the year.
